## What is Positions?

Positions helps desk workers build movement habits that stick. Whether you're at a standing desk, sitting, or on a walking pad, Positions guides you through research-backed exercises tailored to your setup — and reminds you when it's time to switch things up.

HOW IT WORKS
• Choose your positions — standing, sitting, tall sitting, walking pad, balance pad, tiptoe stand, hands & wrists, and more
• Browse 70+ exercises organized by position, each with descriptions and many with video demos
• Get smart reminders that mention specific exercises from your stack — not generic "time to move" alerts
• Track your daily progress, build streaks, and see your completion percentage grow

BUILT FOR DESK WORKERS
Positions was designed specifically for people who spend their day at a desk. Every exercise is tagged by body region (neck, shoulders, back, hips, legs, hands) and rated for desk-friendliness, so you can do most of them without leaving your workspace.

SMART NOTIFICATIONS
Unlike generic reminder apps, Positions reads your actual exercise stack and sends contextual reminders:
→ "Time to move! Try some Pelvic tilts"
→ "Switch to Standing — how about Wall slides?"
→ "Squat break! Do some Standing desk squats"
→ "20-20-20 Eye Break — look away for 20 seconds"

When you've completed all your exercises for the day, it celebrates with you.

PROFILES & SCHEDULING
Create multiple profiles (Office, Home, Travel) with different exercise stacks for each. Set a weekly schedule to auto-switch profiles by day — office exercises on weekdays, home routines on weekends.

RESEARCH-BACKED
Many exercises include research references so you know why each movement matters. From the 20-20-20 eye rule to thoracic extension for posture — every recommendation has a reason.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.7.4 — 2026-08-10

Your reminders now work around your day.

Turn on "Work around my calendar" and Positions reads the busy times already on your iPhone, then lands your nudges in the free gaps between meetings instead of interrupting them. Add a Google or Outlook account in the iOS Settings app and those calendars are included too. Your events never leave your phone.

Your day plan is now interactive. Tap any upcoming block to preview its exercises, check off exercises from any block to catch up or get ahead, and press and hold an exercise to remove it.

Cleaner widgets. Position names on the home-screen widgets no longer get cut off, and long days stay readable.

Sharper analytics. "Fill your gaps" shows which body areas you have worked and which still need attention, alongside a consistency map and a this-week-versus-last view.

Never miss twice. Your streak now forgives a single missed day, so one slip does not undo your progress.

Plus a fix so adding a shared stack always brings in all of its exercises.

Calendar timing and interactive widgets need iOS 17 or later.

### 1.7.0 — 2026-07-21

Your home screen just got a lot more useful.

Widgets are here - your position timer ring, streak, and one-tap position switches in three sizes, plus a checklist on the large widget so you can check off today's exercises without opening the app.

Say "I'm standing in Positions" to Siri to log a switch, or "I just did wrist circles in Positions" to check off an exercise.

New Rhythm settings let you pick your sitting cap (30/45/60 min), your daily switch target, and when the lock-screen Sleep button appears.

Also fixed: "I'm up" on the lock screen now resumes tracking reliably after a night of sleep mode.

### 1.6.9 — 2026-07-11

Sleep mode, fixed - Tapping "I'm up" now brings your Live Activity right back to your position with a fresh timer, instead of dismissing it for the night.

Plus small stability and polish improvements throughout.

### 1.6.8 — 2026-07-09

Sleep mode on your lock screen - After 8pm a Sleep button joins your Live Activity. Tap it to pause tracking for the night (no move reminders, no timer), then tap "I'm up" in the morning. Your sleep shows up in Analytics alongside your positions.

A cleaner Live Activity - The card now carries "Move by" right in the header, with your switch buttons on their own full-width row and roomier padding so nothing crowds the edges.

Sleep in Analytics - See last night's sleep and your 7-night average, tracked automatically from sleep mode.

Tidier home screen - Your exercises now sit in their own clean cards, and the copy across the app reads more naturally.

Fit and finish - Small wording polish throughout, and position names in the day's story no longer get cut off.

### 1.6.6 — 2026-07-05

A live view of your position, right on your lock screen — the Live Activity got a full redesign: see your current position, a live timer since your last switch, and a progress bar that fills toward your 45-minute sit cap.

Switch without opening the app - New Tall sit and Stand buttons directly on the lock screen and Dynamic Island log your position switch in one tap (iOS 17+).

One card, not three - Fixed a bug where several Live Activity cards could pile up on the lock screen at the same time.

Your day, as a story - The home screen now shows what each position did for your body ("Standing — loads hips, knees & ankles"), and switching positions instantly pulls up that position's exercises for one-tap check-offs. Less digging, more moving.

Notifications, your way - New Notification pace setting (hourly / every 2 hrs / every 3 hrs) sends at most one nudge at a time, rotating through your reminder types. Reminder windows now respect their minutes too — an 8:30 start means 8:30, not 8:00.

Redeem a code - Have a promo or referral code? Redeem it in Settings → Subscription → "Redeem a code" to unlock Positions Pro.

Fit and finish - The keyboard no longer covers name fields, exercise Details no longer crash, settings buttons respond instantly, and "people use this" counts on Featured Stacks are now accurate.
