### 5/5 — Great Tool for Parents and Kids

*2010-05-02*

Parents love using these tools cards to solve behavior conflicts. It is even more fun when the kids get to shake to find a card that works for them to solve the problem.

### 5/5 — Fantastic!

*2010-04-21, version 0*

I was always meaning to purchase the cards but never got around to it - having them available on the i-phone has been so convenient!! Thanks!

### 5/5 — Cool

*2010-04-16*

Very cool.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Send a card

*2013-08-25*

Used the "send a card" icon and what the person received was "pages and pages of code." No card, just code." Was trying to convince them to get this app; not likely now -:(

### 2/5 — Not worth paying for

*2021-06-22*

Good advice but should be free. Definitely not worth paying for.

### 2/5 — Nice but way to short

*2012-03-24*

Nice but way to short. And some materials are not self explanatory, need to check in the book.

### 3/5 — Not worth the price

*2012-06-18*

Good, but could be it better. Not worth the price in my opinion.

### 4/5 — John Archibald - Insight Education Services

*2017-06-29, version 1.4*

A great little pocket resource for parents which I am happy to recommend.

### 4/5 — Reminds me of the redirecting Children's Behavior Course.

*2011-06-26*

A good start to making this info available on your phone or ipad. The content is useful. It would be nicer in a book format with a table of contents, I think, than as an app.

### 4/5 — Novel and useful approach

*2011-01-26*

If you can get past some of the language (imagine your typical American self-help book) it is excellent. I've found it particularly useful in the middle of some bloody challenging three year old behaviour just as a quiet reminder to me to step back and look at the events as a whole. I've also had some excellent ideas from it already.

Wholeheartedly recommend. Would get five stars if it was a bit less "schmaltzy" in parts. ;-)

### 5/5 — Shake feature

*2021-04-27*

The only thing that doesn’t work is the shake feature.

### 5/5 — わかりやすい

*2020-10-27*

1日1カード確認できて使いやすい。日本語訳もわかりやすい。

### 5/5 — One card is a duplicate since today's update

*2017-03-06*

This is the best parenting approach hands down.

Please I'm special time and take time for training; I don't think they are supposed to be identical.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2016-06-25*

I always recommend this app to parents! Looking at a card a day reminds us of the principles taught in class and in the books.

### 5/5 — SIMPLY PUT, I LOVE THE APP

*2016-05-22*

I am a counselor/parenting educator. I use the Positive Discipline app often, showing cards randomly to parents to illustrate the benefits of the many parenting tools. Not every tool is effective for every situation, so the convenience of having the tools on my iPhone and the ease of maneuvering the application are well worth the price. Parents download it and tell me what a help it is to have the tools handy.
Thank you, Jane, for all of your dedication year after year. This is another great product.

### 5/5 — Helpful!

*2012-01-31*

This app helps keep me on track with positive parenting. I wish more from positive parenting was available on my iPhone.

### 5/5 — Certified Parent Coach and Positive Discipline Parent Educator

*2010-05-27*

This app is a fabulous interactive way to help parents and kids ages 3 to 100 focus on solutions and find better ways of functioning! I have let preschool age children shake my phone to come up with workable solutions to a problem and they have been so intrigued by it that they come back time and time again because they know my phone will have an idea!! I have even given the phone to my husband when he's struggling with our 17 year old daughter. It has worked as a reminder for him of what our focus is while raising our girls. This is a great app!

### 5/5 — The best ap ever!

*2010-05-19*

I have been waiting on this ap and I am just thrilled that it is here. Anytime I feel like I am about to flip my lid I shake my phone and get a fantastic solution. Thanks PD assc. I am sure my boys appreciate it as much as I do. This is a break down saver for all parents of children at any age. Get it!!!

### 5/5 — If you're too tired to read...

*2010-05-16*

I've been teaching parenting and working with clients for over 30 years, and what I notice is that information, to be effective and utilized, needs to come in smaller and smaller bits. Folks are busy juggling work, family, friends, and the rest of their life, so the thought of sitting down and reading an entire parenting book is overwhelming. That's why these cards are so helpful. They are based on our work, but presented in a way that you can get help on the fly, and the cards are fun and user friendly. I've recently purchased an iPod touch so I can download this app and others, especially looking forward to using them with my grandkids. Jane Nelsen has always stayed on top of technology, and we are lucky to have her enthusiasm and excitement for PD in this easy and informative format.

### 5/5 — Great for quick reference.

*2010-05-16, version 0*

In those 'help me' times of parenting when your kids push your buttons these tool cards give you quick respectful strategies to try.
