When my food arrived 30 minutes after pickup it was entirely cold and the low quality customer support AI told me that massively late orders aren’t eligible for refunds. Truly has become the worst and most hostile of the food delivery apps. ### 1/5 — Fine for me but predatory for medium + low income customers. *2026-08-20, version 6.336.10001* Positives: convenient if your time is valuable and especially when food is needed at odd hours. Negatives: higher pricing on items before any service or delivery fees. Deceptive promotions especially to encourage larger order sizes to “save”. Reality: Standard deceptive and predatory/manipulative practices along with partial refunds when situations arise, never full and fair outcomes. All that said, I still use it regularly and accept the 40-80% total premium cost for the convenience. Unfortunately supporting rent seeking, predatory garbage human beings who run the company. If your dasher leaves your order at the wrong location, don’t expect a refund or any help. Instead expect for them to offer you a credit, and then throw you back into the Queue when they no longer want to help you. I spent $60+ on an order, just to have it dropped off at the wrong house, and have my calls to the postmate driver ignored twice. Left me walking around at night, in my pajamas looking for my order that I paid and tipped for. Needless to say, this company does not care about its customers in the slightest. Shout out to Naman for not listening to what I’m saying, refusing a refund, and then throwing me back into the queue. ### 1/5 — Always an issue *2026-08-17, version 6.335.10000* The cancellation fee is understood, the restaurant already started the process. The reason I won’t be using the app again is because the restaurant option I was given was an hour away and I didn’t realize that until the delivery driver was picking it up. I apologized to her for my mistake. She asked if I mind the wait, I said I don’t as long as she didn’t mind driving that far. She accepted the delivery, and canceled after our conversation. By now my work will be closed before the new driver makes it. The thing that really sent me over the edge (not that it takes much when I’m hangry) is the support is an absolute joke. Why even get me in touch with a “live” agent when the response is automated and not at all informative or helpful. It seems like a fail safe so customers feel like at least they tried. I canceled my uber one for these same kinds of problems and charges.
