And ~3mins for an in-person order. I would recommend not using the app. I usually wait 15mins. No matter what the app says you’ll end up waiting at least 10 mins. ### 2/5 — Prices are too high and takes too long to get rewards. *2026-08-07, version 8.10.1* $6 for a bowl of soup and like $7-8 for a bowl of Mac and cheese that are really both side not entree portion sizes is wild! It would be different if you adopted best practices from other restaurants like how McAlister’s loads offers on your account if they notice you’re a regular - yes their prices are high too but it helps when you know there’s going to be an offer for a free drink or free bowl of soup or $5 off $15 etc. And let’s be honest even with these things you’re STILL making money. But now you’re increasing frequency of visits and giving people a reason to choose Potbelly. The rewards program takes too long to get anything meaningful too - if you converted dollars to points it’s on a outrageously slanted scale that only gets worse like a Mac and cheese bowl is 4x the cost in dollars in points. At some point people lost the plot on why rewards programs even exist. And now most aren’t rewarding at all and this is no exception. Update: another oversight I discovered - I provided feedback via survey link and they sent a coupon code for a free cookie. I have a S’mores cookie in my cart and it’s not recognizing that as a cookie because it says basket does not contain a discount eligible item - yet all cookies are the same price? So what are we doing here? This is friction that shouldn’t exist. Maybe a smarter approach would be 300 points for completing the survey and you bypass this overlook completely? ### 2/5 — Ok but rarely takes gift cards *2026-07-17, version 8.9.0* App works well with selecting items and cart updates with different order customizations. But app seems very selective when it comes to accepting gift cards as a payment type. I’ve been able to use a gift card once or twice through the app but most of the time I get a something went wrong error. Fine. But then it tried to force another. You can only receive points if you order directly on app/have QR code scanned upon ordering. I think it would be helpful to have another option to scan in previous orders. ### 1/5 — Stop it. *2026-04-22, version 8.7.1* Don’t send me emails about leaving an unfinished order in the app. I was literally looking what I’d have for lunch and by the time my break approached, I already received an email from you pressuring me to complete the order. That is such low and desperate behavior. Needless to say I decided not to visit Potbelly because of that email. Terrible app. ### 1/5 — Delivery via App Scam *2026-04-14, version 8.7.1* Door Dasher knows that the order is placed via PotBelly app. They arrive at the location and pick up your order and then cancel the pickup, sending another driver to pick up. Since you place the order via PotBelly app there is no door dash protections. You are left with the store to deal with, they can only do so much which is little. The app claims there’s a way, but there is no actual option for that. I don’t really see the point of a sub sandwich app that doesn’t let you build a sandwich exactly to your liking, I end up just needing to order in the store anyways. ### 1/5 — Location Change automatically *2026-04-10, version 8.7.0* If a store turn off their online ordering option, the app will change your normal ordering location to another location without any notice. I don’t know what has to be done but please fix it. ### 1/5 — Good Food, Terrible App!! *2026-03-25* This used to be a really good and easy to use app. I would have given it five stars last fall, but now it is terrible. I started having trouble with it late December 2025. I was constantly logged out of the app and when I would enter my info to log in, I would get the, “Spinning Dial of Death,” and it would never load. I wrote to Potbelly’s customer support a number of times. They gave me the usual advice like clear the cache and remove and reinstall the app. It would work once after that and then go back to the same issue I of not being able to log in. I would end up ordering through the website instead, which always worked just fine. Last week, I was finally able to log in to the app and I started an order. When it came time to submit it, I got a picture of a little potbelly stove surrounded by an ever spinning dial of death! I thought that the order did not go through, so when I got to shop, I ordered my food. When I went to pay, the person at the checkout asked me if I had ordered online. It turns out that the order DID go through even though I did not get a confirmation! I wish they would fix the bugs in this app!! **Developer response:** Hi there! Tried to sign up, but the app took my information and then just kept spinning. I tried again, which it wouldn’t let me as apparently it did take my information, so I attempted to sign in, but the app just hangs no matter how many times I try. ### 1/5 — Constant Erros *2026-03-24, version 8.6.1* This app has issues allowing pre orders over the app. Rejects Apple Pay and credit card. Never lets me redeem my coins for perks. When I most recently tried it forced me to log out and then won’t let me log back in. Tried to reset password and isn’t sending the recovery email. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Don’t bother ordering through the app if there is an issue with your order and request a refund *2026-08-07, version 8.10.1* Ordered 3 sandwiches through the app, took almost 2 hours for the delivery, and when I talked with the store I ordered from because I felt unsafe consuming sandwiches sitting outside for 2 hours, they told me they are just a shell of DoorDash and all the orders go through them, and that they can’t refund me because it’s a DoorDash issue, talked with DoorDash and it’s the same thing, blaming potbelly for the delays and said they don’t have the payment information, eventually disputed my order with the bank. ### 1/5 — The app *2026-07-21, version 8.10.0* This app never loads the menu ### 1/5 — Delivery sucks *2026-06-29, version 8.9.0* Ordering for delivery is always hell once you place the order there is no further updates and the delivery is never on time and when calling the store i ordered from they are even less help. My main issue that I just came across is that there is no way to cancel an order, without calling the store.
