Broken now and no way to roll it back. Not happy ### 3/5 — Love this game but hope for more updates *2026-04-30, version 3.4.6* I absolutely adore the animations with the potions and ingredients, as well as the professors! I was originally introduced to this game on BGA with some family members. We’ve been playing it for years. I later introduced Potion Explosion to my boyfriend and we all love playing it. My boyfriend bought the physical board game and then later found this app. We have given it many tries with the online feature, but we have yet to be able to finish a game. The app bugs out and gets stuck on one of our screens saying it’s the other person’s turn and it won’t sync up again or let us move forward. It seems to happen the most when life distracts us and we let the app sit in the background running or close the app entirely. The app seems to get disrupted and stops communicating between our two phones. He has a google phone and I have an iPhone, so maybe it’s something between the two that causes disrupted connection. We’re willing to stick with this app for the sake of the beloved game and will use it for times when we’re not doing anything for extended periods of time. We’re hoping for continued improvement and future updates. Offline gameplay is super fun with other friends, and the. AI opponents are fairly decent (though are typically not challenging enough for me). Online gameplay, however, is extremely frustrating without notifications when it’s your turn. So many games timeout because either myself or the opponents don’t realize it’s our turns until it’s too late. It keeps making me replay the same turn. ### 3/5 — Newest version fixed most of the bugs but… *2024-08-24, version 3.4.6* The newest version is good, but introduced a bug in solo mode where the AI players all have the same colour on the final screen, so you can’t tell which player came where. I also hate the line/guide that was added when you are directing your marbles, I’d like an option to disable it - worked well the way it was. I’d also like a random helpers buttons much like there’s a random potions button. The online mode is still a little buggy so I rarely use it. So I mostly play online with other players. Almost daily it seems like one of my “in progress” games glitches out. Sometimes when I try to select a marble on my turn, the app force closes. Or it glitches out the player names, scores, etc, it just does these random things that make the game unplayable. Ease of play and thematic flourishes make me want to play regularly. A recent update finally made the game playable, if you can be patient when the game crashes. And it will. For example, when you use the potion of magnetic attraction. It’s very difficult to try to finally connect to a match with a friend, and once we do, we probably have to redo our returns six times a game at least because when you close the app and come back in, it didn't register the turn. Really fun! Bought the expansion pack about a year ago and have really enjoyed it. Hoping for more potion expansion options in future! (“Paint” an ingredient a different color while on the board, swap 2 ingredients while still on the board, swap 2 ingredients from anywhere on the board, etc.) Only issue is that multiple updates have been VERY “buggy.” To the point that I can’t plan the online version because it just spins. Sometimes this lasts for weeks or even months until the next update. Sometimes deleting and reinstalling the app helps, but often you just have to wait for the next update to play again. But it’s absolutely non-functional if you try to play against other people. It had been a while since I tried, and I saw there had supposedly been quite a few “bug fixes.” Nothing is fixed and the game still glitches. It crashes when you try to take your turn, or it doesn’t actually log the turn you took, or it makes you endlessly take the same turn over any over. Mas minha maior preocupação era quanto ao funcionamento ou não do aplicativo. Resolvi fazer a compra para testar, e felizmente aqui no meu sistema funcionou muito bem. Para referência, meu iPhone é um XS Max, iOS 14.5.1 e o jogo funcionou perfeitamente, sem travamentos nem encerramentos, nenhum dos problemas citados. Se você como eu também tinha essa dúvida depois de vários comentários negativos, posso dizer que pra mim está funcionando tranquilamente.
