## What is Potter's Log?

Potter’s Log helps artists keep their craft beautifully organized — from shaping clay to showcasing finished work.
- Record every piece: Title, dimensions, clay body, glaze, firing notes, and techniques.
- Track stages: Wet clay → leather-hard → bone-dry → bisque → glaze → finished.
- Add photos & reflections: Document progress and compare results over time.
- Inventory & locations: See what’s in the studio, at a gallery, or sold.
- Collections: Group pieces by series, show, firing, or glaze tests.
- Search & filters: Find pieces fast by stage, clay, glaze, size, or tags.
Whether you’re logging daily throws, testing new glazes, or preparing a show, Potter’s Log gives you clear, calm tools for the work you love.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.3 — 2026-10-07

• A new card look for Catalog, Glazes, Events, Kiln, and Sketches — big photos, clear titles, built for iPhone Duo's unfolded screen (and sharper on iPad too)
• Sketch Pad now renders correctly in Dark Mode
• Fixed a sync issue where some real duplicate sales events weren't being caught and merged

### 1.2 — 2026-10-06

Sketch Pad (iPad) — Sketch piece ideas with Apple Pencil, right alongside your catalog. Attach a sketch to one or more pieces, or keep it on its own.

Siri Shortcuts — Log a new piece, mark a piece sold, or back up your library hands-free with Siri or the Shortcuts app.

Home Screen Widgets — Six widgets: kiln firing status, inventory counts, ready-to-sell count, quick log-a-piece, a rotating photo, and a countdown to your next sales event.

Duplicate Cleanup — A new diagnostic finds duplicate glazes, pieces, events, kiln firings, and piece types left behind by sync, with a one-tap merge.

Backup Reminders — A gentle nudge to back up your library, with an optional automatic backup.

Catalog Sorting — Sort your catalog the way you want.

Support Potter's Log — An optional $5.99/year subscription for anyone who wants to help keep the app growing.

### 1.1 — 2026-10-02

What's New in 1.1

This update brings iCloud sync, full iPad support, and a batch of polish throughout the app.

• iCloud Sync — Your library now syncs across all your devices. Log a piece on your phone, see it moments later on your iPad.

• iPad Support — Potter's Log is now a true iPad app, with a sidebar and grid layouts for your Catalog, Glazes, Kiln Firings, and Events.

• Glaze Detail, Improved — See every piece using a glaze right from its detail page, with thumbnails you can tap straight through to.

• Photo Fixes — Choosing a main photo for a piece now works reliably, and photo order stays correct when editing.

• Accessibility — Improvements for VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, and color contrast across the app.
