Couldn't access USA Today on Tuesday. Sometimes stories are straight lines across the page. ### 3/5 — suddenly freezes *2019-12-07, version 2.9.10* i was really enjoying this app. the ‘newspaper’ layout was great.. i loved the ability to use 2 fingers to zoom in on text. however, for the last few days if you accidental expand an article (rest your finger on the text which opens it into a larger version) the screen freezes and the only option is to discard the app and download it again. truly tiresome. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — App stopped working. *2022-03-12, version 3.6.05* I have not been able to read the paper since the last update. Tried everything. Can’t get what I used to get. Don’t want the e-edition (which has no problem connecting to the internet). ### 1/5 — Upgrade crashes regularly *2014-11-23, version 2.5.50* Latest upgrade (2.5.50) crashes frequently and generally feels buggy -- text fading in and out of focus, for example. Have yet to get through the whole paper without relaunching. Upgraded to iOS 8.1 to make sure it wasn't a problem with my iPad configuration. Can't put my finger on it, but with NO OTHER apps running in background, flipping pages frequently causes a crash, where you have to restart the app. Surprisingly, returning to the page it crash on. The paper seems to be more of an national news paper with very little local news. The e-edition of the Journal provides me with the best of both worlds. It looks exactly like the paper edition and provides that sense of comfort and familiarity but it also does away with all of that paper waste. Additionally, the online version provides all that the e-edition does but with even more content.
