## What is Pounce?

Pounce puts your AI coding agents in your pocket.

Start Pounce on your computer, scan the pairing code, and every agent session running there appears on your phone. Watch them think, write code, run commands, and open pull requests in real time — then step in whenever you want.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Follow every session live — messages, reasoning, tool calls, terminal output and git activity in one clean timeline
• Review the diff, then commit, push, or open a pull request
• Send a new instruction or answer a prompt with a tap
• Use your voice — hold and speak to steer an agent hands-free
• See where your usage goes — tokens, spend, sessions and messages, broken down by agent, by model and by project
• Keep every machine and project in one list, sorted by what needs you

WORKS WITH
Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and opencode.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Start Pounce on your Mac, Windows or Linux machine — the desktop app, or a single command in any terminal
2. Scan the pairing code with Pounce
3. Your agents and projects appear automatically

REACH IT FROM ANYWHERE
Pounce connects straight to your own computer over an encrypted peer-to-peer link. That works on cellular or a café network with no VPN and no port forwarding, and your code and conversations never pass through a server of ours.

Pounce is open source under the MIT license.

Whether you're grabbing coffee, on the couch, or away from your laptop, Pounce keeps your agents moving.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5.0 — 2026-08-17

The app stops re-rendering itself. Every tab used to redraw on each sync tick, whether or not anything had changed. State now lives where it is read, so scrolling and streaming stay smooth while your machines sync behind you.

The attention shelf no longer overstates things. A thread you can pick back up is marked as exactly that, and a run that failed can be dismissed instead of sitting there forever.

Machines added over SSH keep the name you dialled — the address you typed is the name you see.

Also: usage is metered per agent so you can see what each plan has left, a project lists the skills it has available, worktree disk can be reclaimed from the app, and the agent's real slash commands are offered instead of a hand-kept guess.

Fixes: the paste-a-code header is actually tappable, a disclosure that can't animate no longer tries to, and the Changes sheet renders correctly on device.

### 1.4.1 — 2026-08-13

Your phone now keeps its own credential for each machine it is paired with.

Before, one shared password was both the machine's identity and every phone's key to it. Rotating it — an update, a reinstall, a reset — quietly locked every paired phone out, and the device list just said nothing was online. Now your phone adopts a credential of its own the first time it syncs, so an update cannot drop it, and removing one phone no longer signs the others out.

Also in this release: the new app icon, and a model picker that reads the models your agent really offers.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-08-12

A new look, and a model picker that picks the model

Pounce has a new app icon — say hello to the purple cat.

Choosing a model now actually sticks. The picker reads the models your agent really offers instead of a list baked into the app, so older threads no longer strand you on a model you have moved on from.

The phone screens now use native navigation bars, so headers, titles and back gestures behave the way the rest of your phone does.

Also in this release: a thread another session is already driving will hold your message instead of losing it, and we fixed the opencode adapter missing sessions on newer opencode versions.

### 1.3.3 — 2026-08-05

Usage insights
Activity now shows what your agents actually use — tokens, estimated spend, sessions and messages — for a week, a month or a year.

Tap any figure to open it up: a trend over time, then a breakdown by agent, by model, and by project.

Token counts now come straight from each agent's own records, so they match the figure your provider shows you. The share that was re-read from cache sits alongside the total, because on a long session most of it is cache — and that part is cheap.

Your work, grouped properly
Worktrees now live with the project they came from instead of scattering into rows of their own — including branches you merged and deleted long ago.

And a machine you've already paired stays one device. Pairing the same computer at home, on a café's wifi, or after your router hands out a new address no longer files it three times.

Also in this release: faster thread loading, and a steadier layout when switching between week, month and year.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-07-23

Fixes a crash that could prevent the app from opening after updating to 1.2.0.
