I emailed the developer and didn’t get a response. **Developer response:** My apologies for the late response. But it could use some work, I like the adaptive interface but as someone who work at a night shift i would like it to have a full dark mode which doesn’t really work with oled screen which sometimes it does and sometimes it goes grayish. Another thing is the buttons in the playback including the volume sometimes are unresponsive so I find myself pushing different areas to make them work. Regardless the app does a good job but I hope they fix those issues. And one more thing I can suggest is if they can add different icons as they look like camera icons. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ RESPONSE TO DEVELOPER: the background within the player doesn’t function correctly, it starts with a dark black background but later on I’ll be gray. I also love the visualizer on the fullscreen player. It’s not in use too often but it’s a great touch of classic music player feel. My only criticism is that i’d like to see a few more customization options like rounded corners on all album artwork, and I’d like to see all albums in the Artist tab (when an artist is selected or having to select “see all”) without having to scrub left or right. Widgets don’t update unless you interact with it or the app. The widget also has the app icon over the artwork - annoying. **Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback. Due to API limitations, it is not possible to change the star rating, only reading from the music library. In order to preserve battery life, iOS decides whether updating the widget is appropriate. The app has been configured to make sure the widget is updated as often as possible but eventually every third party app is at the mercy the system. I will take removing the app icon from the widget into consideration. The lyrics pane is a clever implementation too. The amount of adaptive colors that is on display when you view your Now Playing, Album, Playlist, Artist Page and so on, has received so much care and attention, and it shows. Navigations between the different tabs (which are customizable) is extremely smooth and intuitive although more sorting options such as being able to sort by recently added while in the song or album tabs (similar to ios' native music app) would be a nice addition. One feature that is unfortunately a deal breaker for me is the inability too see what is Up Next in your music queue. Having to switch back to the native music app whenever I want to see or edit my queue really doesn't do it for me and I wished it was present in Power Player. I do hope that something of the sort gets implemented into the app in future updates. Overall the app is one of the best out there, the masterful implementation of adaptive colors is unmatched by any other music player out there which will keep me coming back.
