But it doesn’t display the slides. Sent feedback to developer, will see if they respond, and will update this post. If not, will delete the app. Follow-up: Still no response from developer, and I need this to work by the day after tomorrow. Don’t waste your money. ### 2/5 — Stops working while presenting *2020-05-07* I’m very frustrated. I’m stuck at home during the pandemic and my clicker is at work. I downloaded this so that I could defend my dissertation on Monday and it keeps freezes about 5-6 minutes into my presentation. It will advance the slides, but my notes will not show on my iPhone. Just wasted $3.99 and no time to buy a clicker online. ### 3/5 — Cannnot switch views *2020-01-05* It would be helpful if we can choose whether to have the next slide on the bottom or the top. Right now the “next slide” is on the top and “current slide” is on the bottom half of the page. It would be helpful and much more natural for the current slide to be at the top with next slide on the bottom. Please allow a drop down menu to choose what to view on the bottom too!! I can sometimes control the slides being presented but cannot see the slides on my phone which is important when presenting. I’m running the latest Windows software and have the latest iphone. This app does not work as advertised. I tried connecting over WiFi as well as via my phone hotspot but neither worked. Also, you cannot control PowerPoint on the iPad from your iPhone, which is another disappointment. It allows me to stem away from the computer and physically mix with the congregation. It also allows me to multi-task. I only have to restart the session if it fails to show the current slide. But it’s really very convenient and effective for the presenters. It’s really a revolution of presentation. I can even read the notes when I am stuck in presentation. Preview of PowerPoint is very cool. The dual channel connection is very stable, you don’t need to keep the cellphone and computer in the same LAN like other apps. The connection is really fast, it just take 1sec mostly. As a Korean teacher, I used to do presentation with physical clicker, it was stable. But as we carry cellphone everyday, I always expect whether we can use cellphone as PowerPoint clicker. And here is it. Power Remote is cool. It’s very easy to learn. I just need to launch the app on both side, and it would connect automatically. It supports preview and notes which are nice to presenters. And most important, it is really stable. I don’t know why there are some comments on app store criticize that. I have never met the connection problem ever. I had met a problem of PowerPoint preview, and I wrote a email to the developer. And I finally found that is the problem of my poor network. I just need to switch to hot-spot mode.
