So Every time I want more variety, I type in the common word and then it comes up with different words with the same meaning. And there are so many results for each search that you never need to use the same one twice. I have written a 37k word story and used this app almost every day. Now I am writing a considerably longer story, and the app will be open on my phone from beginning to end while I write on the computer ### 5/5 — Fantastic *2026-05-17, version 2.11.0* I find this app extraordinarily useful, not only for vocabulary building, but also to help look up and retrieve words that has somebody with dyslexia has a hard time spelling. The only thing about this is I wish it would work when there is no Internet connectivity and also would have a list that is simple to tap and retrieve whenever needed of words that are most often used that I find to be problematic remember how to spell or even to spellcheck. It gives you exactly what you want suit the context with which you are dealing. I have not had much time to explore the use of the words or phrases in sentences as yet but from what I have seen so far, it’s amazingly helpful and useful. I can’t remember ever writing a piece and not using power thesaurus. I’ve always loved the interface and how synonyms are listed. I love that you can filter words to get a a certain word class. Honestly, just download it. I’m quite stingy with reviews, so to be writing a glowing report like this… trust me. This developer is in collusion with Apple to defraud the customer. *2026-01-05* Power Thesaurus Pro automatically renewed on 23 September 2025, yet I received only the free version despite having paid the full subscription price at renewal. I have repeatedly sought assistance from the developer, who falsely claims it's a credentials issue but provides no support and shifts blame to Apple. Apple advised that the only solution was to cancel the subscription and request a refund. Although a Senior Apple Advisor requested the refund it was rejected with the explanation ‘deemed ineligible.’ A second Senior submitted an appeal yet no refund was issued—the explanation given was that the appeal was again deemed ineligible. A different Senior Advisor confirmed that refunds are not issued for subscriptions I cannot access because it is the developer’s policy to deny all refund requests, regardless of their legitimacy. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. Please note that each subscription is linked to a specific account. If you have multiple accounts, kindly check all of them for an active subscription. Ann | User Support Team ### 1/5 — No support from developer. *2025-12-26, version 2.8.2* Power Thesaurus Pro automatically renewed on 23 September 2025, but the free version is all that my account now shows and there’s no support from the developer. ### 1/5 — No thanks *2025-12-16, version 2.8.0* I’ll pass on your new consent options for invasive advertising. “Legitimate interest” is just another way to describe advertising that sounds harmless, yet it disguises practices that none of us want. And now we have to spend 10 minutes scrolling through options, in order to turn off the ability to track the hell out of us. No thanks. I just tried to use it and it is only showing me a very short list of words before telling me i have to join pro. I paid for pro back in September. i figure it must have logged me out, so i went and got the email i used for my account, entered it to log in, and it is acting i am just sign in up for the first time now. there have been so many problems with this app since i paid - first, the app was crashing immediately every time i tried to open it, so i got very little use out of it. and now i go to try it again and my PAID account seems to have disappeared. I didn’t notice this for almost a year while I was ill. Now I’ve just downloaded the Power Thesaurus Pro while my phone is connected to the internet. The Cloud symbol forms, is chosen then the circle completes the process. I’m prompted to Open the app then nothing appears on my home screens. However, if I go to my app screen it appears. Then I choose “move to home screen”, select it then it appears. I move it to my 1st page then wait a minute and touch select the “blued/shadowed P” and it winks & then goes nowhere momentarily then the icon returns to my first page. THE APPLICATION FAILS TO LOAD AFTER MANY ATTEMPTS over separate days and various times! Because of this, PT helps to find the exact word i am wanting when i just cant seem to pull it from my middle-age, maxed-out, perimenopausal memory. lol. I just search the general idea/feeling/action/etc and 9/10 times my ‘forgotten’ word is listed! Trying this on other sites is impossible-esp if you don’t require an exact synonym.
