## What is POWER TUNER App?

■ Introduction
To win races, it is absolutely essential to set up your machine to best suit both you and the track conditions.
To facilitate this, Yamaha Motors has developed the PowerTuner app for the Yamaha YZ series and WR series (*1).
You can now quickly and easily adjust engine and suspension settings using the app to best suit every rider and any conditions.
In PowerTuner, all features are available at no additional cost!

Want to set up the machine to run faster?
⇒ Intuitive and easy settings. More detailed settings are also available. Make settings as per your choice by referring to the setup guide!

Want to check the recorded usage information such as speed, throttle opening, engine speed, fuel consumption?
⇒ You can now use your smartphone as a machine information monitor!

Want to check how much your lap time improves after customizing the machine settings in the app?
⇒ Measure your times lap-by-lap with the connected button on the machine!

■ Description
･Mapping
There are three setting types:
(1) Fuel Injection (FI) and Ignition (IG)
Intuitive and easy adjustment by selecting "Smooth ⇔ Aggressive". If you want more detailed settings, you can adjust each with 16 points (4 x 4) according to the engine speed / throttle opening.
(2) Traction Control
Adjust the level of intervention within 3–4 levels.
(3) Launch Control
Set the "Rev limit" for launches.

･Monitor
The race log, failure diagnostics, machine status, vehicle speed, throttle opening, engine speed, fuel consumption, water temperature, intake air temperature, and battery voltage are displayed on the smartphone.

･Lap timer (Time)
Measure lap times with “Multi-function Button” on the left handlebar. After, check the data recorded by the machine's CCU on your smartphone. Since lap-by-lap measurement is available, you can numerically check the settings effect and lap time discrepancies in actual races.

･Set Up
A FAQ-style setup guide is available for engine and suspension settings. Since it is easy to check the setting instructions on your smartphone, anyone can easily setup the engine and suspension. 

･ECU Lock
ECU Lock is a theft deterrent feature that, when engaged, prevents the engine from being started.

I have a 2025 WR450F, and there is no power tuning. Only item than can be changed is traction control. Could have added a button on the handle bar to toggle TC on/off. Pretty lame app with respect to the WR.

I do FAST MX, Technical MX, Supercross/Motocross, Hard Enduro/Enduro, Extreme Mudding, Sands and Dunes, and more. This app changes everything.

FI/IG tuning is amazing for all this.

Full maintenance log to keep track of Engine Oil, Oil Filter, and Pistons.

The app tells you what to do with the Front and Rear Forks for straight big jumps all the way to Down Hill—many in between.

I’m tearing my bike down for a rebuild and powder coating, so far haven’t used the app on the bike yet but I’ll update this review once I do.

So far I have made many tuned for what I do and it was very easy to do, yet the mathematical knowledge of bikes you need, needs to be big—tuning is complex, but easy to use app.

So far, 10/10, 5 stars from seeing and using the app.

My bike has this ECU locking but the app has it greyed out and it tells me this message. “Not available
Please connect to a machine that supports ECU lock.” Um my 2025 yz250f has this feature but the app is telling me otherwise!!!

App no longer works, app freezes every time you try to access the maps sub menu. Zero support from Yamaha and now my bike is stuck on a map I need to change ASAP.

I have a 2020 yz250f and I’ve used the power tuner app since I got the bike, it worked great up until about 120 hours, then I couldn’t connect to the wifi anymore… that was a two seasons ago. I have no how many hours are on my bike, and I have to guess my hours for my oil change, it’s very frustrating. I’ve deleted and updated the app and reset my phone, I’ve read multiple forums online, even called the dealership, nothings helped. The option to connect to the bike comes up in my settings, but whenever I click on it, it just loads and loads, it won’t connect, I never get the blue check mark, just a loading symbol. Can I some help please? That would be great appreciated
