It enables me to make unique widgets with information form just about anywhere. However, I have had many problems with the editor. After a little bit of working on a flow, it becomes impossible to select variables, forcing me to start from scratch. I have also issues with specific actions, such as regex replacing not being properly implemented, and post requests not working properly. Overall, I still definitely recommend this app if you are prepared to invest a little time to get the widget to work like you want. I hope the developer can improve this app in the future. Developer, reply to this review, and I’d be happy to provide you with more information about the issues I am facing with Power Widgets. Let’s get this app to 5 ★s! ### 2/5 — Great premise, but location services don’t work *2022-11-09, version 2.0.1* Seems like a great idea, but location services don’t work on widgets. It needs the option for “while using the app or widgets”, not just “while using the app”. Additionally, it would be great to get HomeKit statuses as an option. Until either of those is fixed, unfortunately this is pretty useless. ### 2/5 — Flow is unusable, very buggy *2022-10-14* How do you add input items? There’s no guide on this. Menus are missing, like data sources, based on what’s in the user guide. Add an item to a flow? It glitches out and adds four, gotta start completely over. No way to remove items. I’ve tried press and hold, swipe, etc. Was super excited to see this, really disappointed to try and use it after this update. The menus seem completely unusable. Half the X buttons don’t work to close out dialogs. **Developer response:** Sorry about the issues! The user guide is still for version 1 and needs to be updated. As for deleting actions, please try tapping on the icon on the action and selecting “Remove” ### 3/5 — Please update ‼️‼️‼️ *2022-07-13* I’m literally BEGGING you please update this app consistently asap😩 it keeps crashing on me My iOS is fully up-to-date so it’s not on my end. Each time I attempt to use data sources it closes on me and I love this app so fix it please!!!🙏 **Developer response:** Please try version 2.0.0, which came out today. It has many fixes and improvements, including Lock Screen Widgets. ### 3/5 — No iPadOS 15 ExtraLarge size option *2022-01-08* This app has been updated twice in the last 3 months, so there is no reason why there shouldnt be an extra large size option. Other than that, great app ### 3/5 — crashes *2021-08-30, version 1.2* when i duplicate a widget and go to edit it, the app crashes. also after i have made one widget and go to make another- when i edit it, it wont let me edit the info of it and it kicks me out of the editing bit. works for like one widget, anything else it crashes or kicks you out the options. ### 3/5 — Huge promise but still broken *2021-04-01, version 1.1* 01.04 update – Just wanted to update once more to address one of the issues I cited in my previous edit regarding the ‘invisible’ wallpaper. After tinkering some more with the app I found the tutorials on YouTube which explained how to create the effect. Not *quite* the perfect solution because wallpapers HAVE to be aligned in the top left corner so if the wallpaper doesn’t look nice like that, it’s all you’ve got, but even so I imagine this will work fine for the majority of images people want to use. Anyway, extra star, only fair. Still looking forward to future updates! There’s a lot of potential. 28.03 update – I’ve just updated the app and while it has become more responsive, unfortunately it’s still very fiddly trying to achieve certain results. I’m trying to create a clock widget and use my current wallpaper as a background, inspired from a template example, but resizing and moving the image doesn’t work properly. Still looking forward to seeing it working though! It’s looking good so far. The possibilities of the customisable widgets seems excellent, but unfortunately the app is completely broken and nothing works. Pressing ‘add’ to add a layer to a widget does nothing most of the time and when it does work, ‘edit’ doesn’t. Can’t remove the layer and start again because that won’t work either. Can’t wait for some future usability and stability updates though! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — broken *2025-10-21* No matter what you do, widgets created with this app just open this app. I’m not even trying to do anything fancy, just open a url. ### 1/5 — Not iOS 26 Compatible *2025-09-27* I have used this great app for a while with previous iOS versions, but with the upgrade to iOS 26 I no longer see my widget content. Please update! ### 1/5 — Sketchy app *2024-10-29* Tried to access sensitive information within my Gmail account when linked with oAuth ### 1/5 — Very buggy and unusable *2024-09-09* I’m trying to add a flow that references a google sheet. I click that button and this begins the death spiral of that page opening and closing incessantly until the app eventually crashes. Unusable. ### 1/5 — Unable to access Google Sheets *2024-03-14, version 2.0.1* When trying to sign in, Google is reporting “ This app is blocked This app tried to access sensitive info in your Google Account. To keep your account safe, Google blocked this access.” That doesn’t sound good… ### 1/5 — Crashes / Bugs *2023-05-16, version 2.0.1* App has such huge potential, as others have said it seems to crash a lot! Bugs such as foreground changing background colour are intermittent. Colour gradient slider does not show when selecting edit, creating a widget and then not being able to customise again/shows old settings. If all the crashes and bugs were fixed this would be a simply amazing 5* app! ### 1/5 — Junk. *2023-01-13* App does not load the shortcut link. Crashes every time **Developer response:** Some actions are not available. If so, it won’t be able to load the shortcut. You can try building it in the in-app editor instead. ### 1/5 — Needs a lot of work done *2022-12-28* I can’t seem to import any of my shortcuts using an icloud link and rss feed content is not showing up in the widget but is in the flow. I tried making a widget to show current temperature but was unable to find any way to convert it from °C to °F The keyboard sometimes disappears when working in flow. ### 1/5 — Horrible Glitchy App *2022-09-15* I think it’s a cool concept but the app is sooo glitchy. I couldn’t even add the widgets because they wouldn’t show up. When I finally managed to add one it wouldn’t load correctly. Overall just a waste of time. **Developer response:** Version 2.0.0 is out now and refactors the apps internals to improve stability ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2021-12-29* Tried the transparent weather widget and it keeps saying flow failed to load. This app’s TikTok doesn’t seem to be active anymore and they didn’t give a clear enough explanation as to how to fix this so it’s totally unusable for me still. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — App needs an update *2025-02-12* App worked until the most recent iOS update. The app would be of so much value if you could fix it. ### 5/5 — Awesome App (But…) *2023-10-30, version 2.0.1* Very well made, looks apple official I’d say. Only problem is that pasting the iCloud link doesn’t work anymore so that feature is completely unusable. It would be nice if that was fixed, since it’s sorta the only thing that sets it apart from the other apps like it. Aside from that, great job developer! ### 5/5 — Love Power Widgets, but I hope it will be updated soon. *2023-10-11* I really love power widgets. There’s a bit of a learning curve, but it is very versatile. However, I hope it can be updated soon! Some things I would like to see are: • Larger Lock Screen widgets on iPadOS • More frequent updates so that a digital clock widget is actually possible • WatchOS complications and Smart Stack widgets • Interactive widgets, so there could be actions preferred without opening the app • An even finer grid for placing objects. Perhaps on screen arrows for fine-tuning placement ### 5/5 — It works! *2022-06-29* Now that I have changed my sheet to “anyone with the link can access”, it works flawlessly! **Developer response:** I’m sorry it isn’t working for you! Typically this happens because the HomeScreen does not have access to your Google account, and is unable to load the sheet. You may want to try using a publicly viewable link. In Google Sheets, you can share so that “Anyone with the link can view”. If you copy the share link this gives you into Power Widgets, the widget can access the sheet even from the HomeScreen.
