### 4/5 — Overall good but still needs basics

*2025-02-08, version 6.3*

The program is good. I can see the promise of progress, but the app lacks some basic info.
I should be able to see my last lift for a given exercise.
If I have my maxes put in and the exercise calls for 70% of my max, the app should input that value for me or at least suggest it.
It should be able navigate away from the bar loader and it not erase all the info I put in there.

### 4/5 — Pretty good but…

*2024-04-27, version 5.1*

Pretty good app, definitely worth it if you’re looking for a good powerlifting program based on your (beginner to advanced) and it also takes your energy level rating before the program and modifies your numbers slightly. I recommend it for that alone. Pretty good but…

The only small nitpick is plugging in the sets, reps & RPE, it’s become tedious doing it for each individual set (I.e every set has its own logging page), is there a way to have all sets of one exercise in one logging page (so once you get into an exercise you can plug all of the reps and sets and RPE in the “logging”) this becomes even more tiresome when you super set lol

I won’t always have time to plug in my sets- especially if it’s the last two exercises and then if I try to quit it says it won’t save your progress (Bruhh).

I understand why it has to be done (rating every single set) but surely there’s a way to make it take less time.

Thanks team.

### 3/5 — Not for me…right now.

*2023-12-21, version 3.9*

I’ve updated this rating. This app wasn’t what I’m looking for right now. After exchanging an email with the developer, I can see that it is evolving. I’m very interested in seeing its next iteration. The feedback from the team was excellent.

### 3/5 — Missing a big thing.

*2023-12-10, version 3.9*

It’s pretty good but having a block to add the actual weight you’re using compared to what the RPE is supposed to be would be really useful instead of having to write it in the notes app. Add that and it’s 5⭐️

### 4/5 — Good app

*2023-12-06*

I like the app, would be nice to have a cheaper option without all the macro tracking/tools, just a workout program. Would also be nice to enter the weight used.

### 3/5 — Costs Money Now

*2023-11-03, version 3.5*

It was an amazing app until this recent update. i loved utilizing all of the calculators such as dots and the plate converters. This recent update has now made the entire app cost money instead of just the training program portion. if you have the money it’s worth it but i’ve deleted it

### 3/5 — Horrible change

*2023-11-03, version 3.4*

I loved this for the tools system just I don’t wanna buy a program I have a coach. So now making it subscription based just drove me away

### 5/5 — Great app, but…

*2023-10-26, version 3.2*

This app is a great app, it’s helping me so much. However, the only issue to me is the age range; I’m 14, and I have so much trouble tracking my progress. The age range on the app is 18-100 yet no where younger than that, I can’t find a 14 year old tracking app. It just gets so aggravating finding one. I have no problem adding my age 18 but it could mess up, idk how to explain it but yeah. Just not trying to let the age screw up anything since it don’t check out my physical, physiological, biological, and social maturity.

### 5/5 — Necessity!!

*2023-10-14, version 3.2*

I have a hard time with lb to kg and this app makes it so easy. I’m able to put in my weight and it’ll show me what my bar will look like with the weight on. It’s a all in one app for anything powerlifting/bodybuilding related. There’s also the new A.I feature that can create a personalized program unique to you.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

### 5/5 — Best app for gains

*2023-10-13, version 3.2*

Whether you’re a powerlifter, bodybuilder, or just want to make gains, you need this app.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Miserable scam

*2025-08-16, version 6.4*

Something is off with this company, I signed up for the free trial on 8/3 which I was told would last until the renewal date of 9/3. I have many apps so I cancelled this one a week or so after signing up just to keep everything in order. I was actually considering renewing on 9/3 because I liked the workouts, but then for some reason I got charged at a completely random time AFTER canceling, then being told I would be charged again on 9/3. Not sure if these ppl make their money by depending on customers not paying attention to subscription charges, but I’m not gonna be a part of that. Very misleading, very dishonest. A complete joke

### 1/5 — Not letting me use my free trail

*2024-08-11, version 5.2*

I recently purchased the app and it is constantly saying “Please wait. This may take a moment” and will not let me into the app. It’s been going on for about 4 days now and it’s very frustrating because I have every intention to pay for the monthly fee, but after these issues I’m not to sure of that now. I feel like the buffer that I’m getting is making me lean more towards deleting this app since it’s giving me so many issues. Please assist me so I can try out your app and see if it’s worth it, thanks.

Ps. Will update my review once help is received.

### 1/5 — Made the app pay to use for everything

*2024-02-03, version 4.6*

I really just used the app for the bar loader and I am not paying 10 dollars a month to do math on loading the bar unfortunately

### 1/5 — Unreliable

*2024-01-28, version 4.5*

This app crashes at least 90% of the time and it’s annoying having to type in the same numbers for each set. There should be an option where it automatically registers the same numbers entered in, that way it’s easier to track.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2024-01-09, version 4.2*

You have to pay to acces everything

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2023-12-18*

This app was terrible. As far as I can see there’s no way to track which set you’re on. No way to say whether or not you’ve done all reps per set. No obvious way to change order of workout. A timer between sets would be nice. But the other items are far more glaring.

**Developer response:** Hi Billy, the powerlifting programming is created with a blend of human record-setting powerlifters and sophisticated A.I. The programs and individual workouts are meant to be followed in order. But we do offer substitution exercises during the workouts if the algorithms deem it appropriate. This app isn't like any other "lifting" app. However, with that said, our new Version 4.0 coming soon does include a full workout tracker and our A.I. workouts are saved to your history as well. You may like the new version. We are surprised that you think this is 1-star with all of the features and tools, and the Free Trial. You are one tough consumer to please, Billy.

### 2/5 — AI Programming makes no sense

*2026-01-06, version 6.4*

The app is clunky and the ai programming is out of whack. The first day of programming was Squat 1x3 followed by Squat 3x3’s unless I misunderstood. Navigation looks intuitive until you realize that the app is unnecessarily clunky. I was really hoping for more, but u fortunately this app fell short of the mark for me.

### 2/5 — Can’t get to my workouts!

*2024-08-01, version 5.2*

When I am in the app and hit “Start Workout” it takes me to the prompt to pay for my monthly subscription. Once I pay the $4.99 for the month it pops up with a spinning wheel that says “Please wait. This may take a moment” that just spins forever, making me unable to view the days workout. Please help so I can see the lifts I paid for!

### 2/5 — The new update is annoying

*2024-01-15, version 4.3*

Having to log the RPE twice for literally every set is insane. It takes me forever to log my workouts.

You can’t skip days if you were sick or go back and you can’t pick the workout you want to do that specific day. Lets say I’m tired and would prefer to do upper body instead of an intense lower body day. The app does not allow this! This is not an AI based app. It doesn’t change anything based on what you put in.

Super annoying and I will be canceling my subscription this week

### 2/5 — Used to be a great app

*2023-11-02*

Was the best app for weight calculations, until they tried to force you to pay for it.
I understand paying for the AI, but now i gotta pay for all of it even though i only need the weight calculator? Nah im good.

**Developer response:** Sorry you feel this way. But apps cost a lot of money to build and maintain, so we need to charge for the entire suite of tools and programming. At such an inexpensive subscription we are surprised you'd take the time to write a negative review. But thanks for using the app in the past. Carry on and stay strong!

### 5/5 — LOVE!

*2024-09-28, version 6.1*

The Powerlift Pro app has been an invaluable tool in my preparation for my first competition. While it doesn't replace a personal coach, it is tremendously helpful. The app's structure ensures accountability by requiring completion of the current workout before progressing to the next. Key Features: Workout Flexibility- I appreciate the option to substitute exercises when certain movements don't feel right or cause discomfort. Personalized Approach- The app's pre-workout fatigue level assessment is a thoughtful touch, allowing for tailored sessions. Room for Improvement: As an enthusiast of both powerlifting and Olympic lifting, I have one significant request: Olympic Lifting Integration- Adding Olympic lifting programming would be a game-changer. I'm planning for a Super Total event, in the spring, and finding it challenging to combine the app's powerlifting routines with a separate Olympic lifting program. Incorporating Olympic lifting would elevate this app from excellent to indispensable for multi-discipline lifters like myself. It would streamline my training process and allow me to prepare comprehensively using a single platform.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2024-09-21, version 6.1*

I love the programming of this app!

### 5/5 — Better than a coach

*2024-08-28*

I used to pay $150 for a coach but with this app I get everything I did from a coach and more.

### 5/5 — Latest Update causes app to crash

*2024-01-27, version 4.5*

Fantastic app however latest 4.5 update causes the app to force close when you try to log todays workout.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2023-12-13, version 3.9*

It’s a great app over all I just wish you would be able to save your weight that you did for the exercises and able to have the rest periods included.

### 5/5 — Writing This App Reason

*2023-11-22, version 3.9*

This is absolutely outstanding app it deserves to blow up I will be using this for ever 🤩🥇

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2023-11-14, version 3.8*

Absolutely love this app.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2023-11-07, version 3.5*

I dont use the AI but im always using the multiple calculators in the “tools” section. I really like how they have a library of multiple exercises you can do and how to do them

### 5/5 — Best App for lifters of all levels

*2023-11-07, version 3.5*

The tools, layout, and functions in this app are second to none. Complete game changer for crushing my fitness goals!

### 5/5 — AMAZING BARBELL APP

*2023-11-03, version 3.4*

One of the best barbell loading apps. Gonna be using this over any of the others on the market. #PwrbldLiftingClub!
