### 5/5 — Amazing

*2025-09-01*

Great app, the features that’s allow you to easily track exercise, sets, and weight are amazing. How the app gives you a great but simple overview of what you training in a day looks like and how it looks like from week to week is also Ana amazing feature. As a coach I highly recommend it for athletes and coaches

### 5/5 — Logging, Useful Analytics, AND a Community!!

*2025-08-30*

I'm loving the updated version of this app! I appreciate being able to create workouts, log them, and then see visuals representing my progress or highlighting my weak areas. I also love the sharing feature when I hit a PR or make significant progress. Keeps me motivated. Can't wait for the community to go live too. I lift at home, so it would be great to feel part of a lifting community.

**Developer response:** Hi LifterL,

Thanks for this review. We just did a MAJOR update, the application still includes the tried and trued 1RM calculator but now includes logging, analytics, templates, tracking, PRs, strength forecast, and soon a community. It's now the best app for getting your one rep max in bench, squat, and deadlift to the absolute highest. If you are strong in the big three, you are strong in everything. Please enjoy the latest updates!

### 5/5 — Love love!

*2025-01-17*

Absolutely love this app and would recommend to anyone who doesn’t like to do math every time they work out. It is very simple to navigate, has good graphics, and simple instructions. My favorite feature is the “Days trained” graph; it is super helpful in visualizing how consistent I am with lifting every week. I also really like the ability to customize and name exercises— this is awesome for the unconventional lifts I need for sports/athletic workouts.

### 5/5 — Jay

*2025-01-13*

Great app to track my training and assist achieving my PRs. I can tailor my powerlifting routines and receive the kind of feedback i need to educate, align and track my fitness goals. Much recommended app!

**Developer response:** Thanks for the review! Glad PowerLiftCalc is helping you get strong in 2025!

### 5/5 — Do it

*2025-01-06*

When you’re out of breath from lifting heavy, you don’t want to waste energy on thinking about your next exercise/sets/reps/rest time/etc.

This app takes care of the workout plan and more. And the “days trained” calendar is a fun way to keep yourself accountable.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoy the "days trained" feature - it's inspired by Git's history feature! Glad PowerLiftCalc is helping you crush your PRs!

### 5/5 — The tool I’ve been missing

*2024-12-11*

PowerLiftCalc is by far the best tool I’ve found for increasing your bench, squat, and deadlift. It’s really focused on strength programs. Seeing the heat map keeps me from skipping workouts, and the strength forecast allows me to see my lifting trends. The PR charts are great, there is always a record I can try to crush. Looking forward to the community, it’ll be fun to share with others.

**Developer response:** Thank you for this review! Yes, PowerLiftCalc is designed from the ground up to help you crush PRs. Glad you are enjoying using it!

### 5/5 — Simple but useful for determining 1 rep max

*2020-04-06, version 1.1*

Fairly accurate, good way to gauge one rep max without having to actually do a one rep max. Wish it had a logging feature.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.1.2 — 2026-03-26

UI upgrade. More tracking in the workouts. Automatic rest timers. Updated community feed.

### 2.1.1 — 2025-10-10

New in this release:
-Estimated one rep max no longer uses Eply formula (which overestimates at higher rep ranges). Using Mayhew formula now.
-Introducing Virtual Gyms. All your workouts are logged to your gym only, you only see workouts from people in your gym (just like in real life!). This allows us to learn from other without having to explicitly follow people (who isn't tired of that?).
-Strength predications are more accurate
-User's can create their own gym and invite their friends to join
-Volume charts include daily volume by bench, squat, and deadlift as well as weekly volume and average volume per workout
-Fixed lbs/kg conversions in PRs and Strength chart

### 2.1.0 — 2025-09-12

The Strength chart forecast has an option now to ignore light days in a rolling 14 day windows. The strength forecast uses linear regression to determine your strength gains, but it was being pulled down by light days of the same week.

Personal Records shows reps up to 20.

Volume chart now breaks it into squat bench deadlift and other. Variations of squat bench and deadlift can be grouped as long as the exercise name has the word squat bench or deadlift in it.

You can now create exercises with a distance and/or duration. (For example, a farmer's carry need distance and weight not reps).

A perceived readiness score when you log a workout.

Extra fields added to each set for reps in reserve, accommodating resistance, (for example chains attached to the bar), and bar velocity. More charts will be added later to look at these variables.

The ability to mark a rep as failed.
