It’s just a big play button when you open it up. I did watch one show and you can’t rewind or fast forward much. It just starts over if you try. It’s a junk app. ### 2/5 — Still gate ads after signing ip *2020-09-24, version 3.10* I loved the RTM shows when on Spike TV and whatever Spike sold out too. I purchased the app when it was on special several months ago to avoid all the BS GOOGLE ads on the top and bottom of the screen. Well I still get the ads on both the top and bottom of the screen after logging in. Then when you close an ad, GOOGLE sends a notice “ why this ad” seriously GOOGLE “ go away and leave us alone” RTM should have better sense and I will NOT renew this app!! Its great when it works but the 2 minute tech blocks do not come stacked in order snd you have to search through numerous vids to find what looking for. I’d take a refund if I could get one. Again GOOGLE GO AWAY!!! ### 1/5 — Crazy with commercials *2020-09-15, version 3.10* I can’t believe how many times I watch the same commercial over and over and over at one time. Just watched an anti trump commercial 9 times in a row this is ridiculous. Love watching this show but I get anxiety watching the same commercials 9 times in a row. ### 1/5 — Why, why, why!!! *2020-09-14, version 3.10* I really love the shows they produce, but what is the point of me paying for this each month when I still have to watch advertisements! I pay for my apps like Disney, HBO, HULU, and so many more, just so I don’t have to watch advertisements! If you try to watch there shows on TV there is a 50/50 mix so for a 30min show you watch 15mins of the show and 15mins of Ads! So with all those ads on the TV and me paying for the App so I can watch the shows without Ads! Why the heck am I having to watch Ads that is time I will never get back in my life! I would happily pay more each month to not have to watch anymore dang Ads! So if you love paying to watch Ads then this is the app for you, if you don’t like paying to watch Ads then I won’t pay for this it isn’t worth it! Thank you for making me pay for Ads! NOT! A very unhappy Fan! ### 1/5 — Worst streaming service *2020-08-28, version 3.10* You’d think when it says “add free streaming” that it would be add free. Well, that’s DEFINITELY not the case with this app. Apparently, RTM productions doesn’t understand what “add free” is. I’m currently watching an episode of truck tech and saw ads from everyone and anyone. Kind of annoying. The ONLY reason I still haven’t canceled my subscription, is because I don’t watch real tv and haven’t seen 90% of the episodes. RTM productions are a J.O.K.E. ### 2/5 — App needs work *2020-08-20, version 3.10* On Roku the app keeps reverting to the show main screen if you pause while looking through episodes. It is very frustrating to have to scroll through episodes without stopping to read the discriptions. ### 2/5 — How many times can you repeat the same advertisement? *2020-06-22, version 3.8.1* I was so excited to get the app and purchase the subscription, but I was in for a disappointment. It’s ridiculous....the same advertisement will play 3-5 times in a row (1 minute total)...half your viewing time is some ridiculous add. Thankful I have the Motor Trend app, I can actually watch shows uninterrupted...what a concept. ### 1/5 — Adds app pushing *2020-06-06, version 3.7* -Apps can’t track where you are in a show. To return to a position in a show you need to hear the same adds over and over, 5m you can keep going where you were in a show -Apps start vidéo while to try to find show. Quicks you out of the search to force you in video and adds... I’m just hunting for the show I want too see -Adds volume are screaming high vs the show. Good to wake up kids at night... I have no issue with adds, I do have issues when the adds stop the apps from running properly. The apps goes from a 5 to a one just for miss use of adds. ### 1/5 — Where is new content? *2020-05-25, version 3.7* I made the unfortunate decision to pay the $50 for a year. They only add new episodes once a month. I will not renew this subscription when it’s due. It’s a shame because I rather enjoy the programs. But I’m not willing to pay again and I’ll just set my DVR to record them. ### 1/5 — Don’t waste the money *2020-05-04, version 3.7* You pay for the app and don’t even get the new shows if you want car content go with motor trend ### 1/5 — App needs major updates *2020-03-11, version 3.6* There isn’t any way this app has a legitimate 3.5 star rating. This is one of the worst apps I has seen. You will spend more time trying to find and select a show than the shows time length. The developers just need to look how the motor trend app works. I will say the content is great. ### 1/5 — Love the shows hate the app *2020-02-24, version 3.6* Tried to watch an old episode of trucks 29:00 mins long only 12:00 mins is the show the rest is the same 2 ads over and over and over and over and over and over and over back to back to back to back to back to back. So I’m sticking with the motor trend app... ### 1/5 — PowerNation TV *2019-12-26, version 3.6* Love the programs! Works and functions OK but content is not what’s advertised as no commercials and implying unlimited viewing of current and past episodes. There are Imbedded commercials in each episode and a max limit to the number of shows that can be viewed consecutively. The Fast forward function appears to penalize you when you try to move quickly through the imbedded commercials. It slows down and I reach my quota on the first episode after FF through the commercials. If I watch the show not activating FF, I reached my quota after two shows watched consecutively. After quota reached you can watch the next episode for about 1 minute then PN shuts you out, stating you’ve reached your quota. After questioning this from PN directly, I received an acknowledgment and have not received a response for two weeks. Not worth the aggravation and problems. I’ve decided to cancel my online subscription. Now looking for cable options to record the shows once a week and FF through the commercials, as I use to. ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2019-11-25, version 3.6* Most of the time I can only get about 2 minutes into the episode before the voices become out of sync with the video on the screen. Then after paying $5 a month to avoid commercials I still have to watch commercials, and that’s not the worst part. What’s worse is that there’s only 2-3 commercials just played over and over and over. The episode is only 18 minutes long and I have to watch literally 20 commercials. They play about 4 every commercial break. Then if you’re lucky the app will play til the end without crashing but it usually crashes before you can finish an episode. This is the worst app ever a newborn baby could develop a better functioning product. The app owner should be ashamed to take people’s money for this garbage. ### 2/5 — Too many commercials *2019-11-19, version 3.6* 21 commercials in an 18 minute show - for only 3 products, and two were toys. It’s too bad because we all love the shows. Does not like to be stopped and started. Constant ads. Freezes up constantly causing you to have to watch the ads over and over again, do not recommend. ### 1/5 — WORST APP EVER! Hey sponsors, where are you at? Little help? *2023-01-18, version 3.10* Hands-down the worst app I’ve ever used! I am about ready to ditch my subscription altogether. I’ve emailed them and commented on the app many times and not only does nothing change or get fixed (they haven’t even updated the app since 2020!), I don’t even get a reply from the company acknowledging my comment or email (not even an auto-generated reply!) I mean, are they trying to chase away their customers and viewer base??? Are they trying to go out of business?? The app has no logical navigation at all, automatically starts on who knows what show/episode whenever you start the app. On the AppleTV, you can’t back out of the navigation menu without closing the app. The only you is to wait for it to timeout and go back to your show…which is hit or miss, or navigate back to the episode you’re watching and re-select it. And then, when navigating the show menu to pick the show you actually want to watch, you have to keep moving through the episodes or it will time out and go back to whatever was playing (it only works right when you’re trying to pick another show…). For $50 a year, this app is the WORST. I expect much more that. I don’t want to abandon it because I do enjoy the content (when its not completely overrun by in-show ads) but at this rate, I WILL NOT be renewing. If they don’t care enough to offer a good product, well, I won’t patronize them or their sponsors. Just a thought PowerNationTV, maybe you should see what MotorTrend is doing and learn from them before you lose all their customers…and sponsors… ### 1/5 — App is trash *2022-06-17, version 3.10* Absolute trash, glitchy. Gets stuck on lame rock auto commercial, and plays with no sound. Menus are unnavigable because they are only on the screen for a few seconds. Being forced to watch the same commercial 6-8 times every 10 minutes. Yes, that’s right the same EBC commercial 30-40 times every episode. PN has great content, but this app makes it unwatchable. ### 1/5 — Ads *2021-02-23, version 3.10* Why are there so many ads on this app, if I wanted to watch the show with ads on it. I’ll would just watch it on tv. The ads are over 5mins long. Very disappointed with this app ### 1/5 — Worthless *2021-02-16, version 3.10* Cancelled my plan and deleted the app. The app will not do anything but endlessly loop the first series of commercials on my iphone, Roku and Firestick. Closing out and logging back in does nothing to remedy this. ### 1/5 — Apple TV app doesn’t work properly *2021-02-11, version 3.10* The last few versions of the Apple TV version has serious issues. 1. The app when launched, automatically starts playing some random episode that I didn’t choose. 2. You have about 5-7 seconds to choose an episode to watch before it clears the menu and returns you to the episode that you didn’t choose and started playing in the first issue mentioned above. 3. If you accidentally touch the remote and bring up the show menu at the top of the screen, there is no way to get rid of it unless you exit out of the episode completely and restart it again. We pay you a lot of money for a subscription to watch these shows. That was my childhood. Anyways the app works well on my phone using data. Not so well on Fire TV using home wifi. Could be my wifi or the bandwith of the shows. You can sort episodes by builds and even look at parts lists in app. That’s pretty cool. Not sure why there’s so many negative reviews. Boomers with technology I guess.
