How about having a version for landscape mode. I monitor it on an Ipad and not a phone and hence needing to continually rotate my Ipad is ridiculous.. ### 4/5 — Update needed to Tarrifs *2026-03-21, version 2.3.0* Hi Team, can you update your tariff selection to include the new 3 hour free periods provided by United Energy in VIC…or allow a custom time of use? ### 2/5 — Requires more flexible tariff configuration *2026-02-06, version 2.3.0* The data relating to the energy consumption will be useful but the tariffs on a time of use meter (in Australia) have 3 rates (shoulder & off-peak) and even when selecting my retailer there isn’t alignment to the suppliers time for the peak/off-peak where it has peak rates on a weekend in the app but the shoulder rate (which is all day) is a few cents above the off-peak and roughly half of the peak. ### 3/5 — Power usage data *2025-12-10, version 2.1.3* Updated the app and now all my data is gone, can see back to December 2024, pretty useless for anyone that want to compare how power they are using for same month 12 months or so ago ### 3/5 — Could be better *2025-10-08, version 1.30.8* Only measures one Tarif split up to for times. No controlled load, it’s calendar months so can’t match my retail dates for bill comparisons. Not the best app, missing simple things but it’s better than retailers. ### 3/5 — Zero flexibility on ToU time settings *2025-07-31, version 1.30.8* Powerpal is hard coded as 10-3 for solar sponge in SA. Solar sponge for SA is now 10am-4pm which means rates are out by more than 2.5x meaning everything is completely out of whack. The cost estimator for the day and for that hour are now significantly out. No longer useful for the 30% of South Australians on ToU. ### 1/5 — Very poor Bluetooth signal *2025-06-09, version 1.30.8* The actual device has a very poor Bluetooth signal. Comes up with error 403 message. This makes Powerpal totally useless. ### 1/5 — Not Working *2026-01-25, version 2.2.0* Spent hours trying to get this to work. Had to turn up the LED sensitivity 3 more notches from default for some unexplained reason and any higher and it thinks I’m pulling 4+kW’s and any lower just slowly goes down to reading 0kW’s after about 20 seconds. Then throw in this update which ruins using any other device with the remote connection as it says it can’t connect to the Powerpal.. well DUH! That’s why I have the option set as being ‘remote connection’ but it completely ignores that when I run the actual Bluetooth connection to an old iPad which I won’t be updating the app with as will then go back to square one. Dishwasher, washing machine etc. thus using solar input rather than off the grid, helping keep my power bills down. Solar feed in tariff now only 0.06 cents.
