### 2/5 — Not intuitive

*2026-07-21, version 2.8.53*

The app is just not intuitive to use.

### 2/5 — So slow

*2026-07-13, version 2.8.51*

I don’t get it. Healthcare in the United States is at this point no different than armed robbery. Healthcare providers charge patients so much damn money and I’m sure Practice Better makes a good penny off these crooks too. So you would expect them to be able to develop an app that actually loads faster but no this app loads so slow like what the heck it’s 2026, optimize your damn app.

### 2/5 — Never keeps me logged in

*2026-04-19, version 2.8.32*

The app constantly logs em out throughout the day making food tracking so hard. The app is great for free form food tracking and that’s why I give it 2 stars. Please fix!

### 3/5 — White Screen

*2026-02-25, version 2.8.26*

The app just stays frozen on a white screen and no matter a restart or a holding the icon and trying to open another way, it stays white screened. Not impressed with it

### 2/5 — Viewing area

*2026-02-04, version 2.8.18*

Starts out okay but then the viewing area gets larger than my screen area and doesn’t respond to touch.

### 3/5 — Not a fan

*2026-01-21, version 2.8.18*

Keeps signing me out have to log in daily. Makes me not want to log when it’s constantly logging me off. Also takes a long time to load the messages.

### 2/5 — Dreadful

*2026-01-01, version 2.8.7*

A really bad UI and hard to use. Form says tick all that apply, I did this and now it says I haven’t filled it in properly

### 2/5 — Submit don’t work to good

*2025-12-22, version 2.8.7*

I kept hitting submit on several documents but they kept saying that the document is empty when there is nothing to fill out
Super frustrating

### 1/5 — Difficult to navigate

*2025-12-20, version 2.8.7*

If been looking for 30 minutes on where to request a reorder of my prescriptions through the portal. The help center should have direct links to the page.

### 1/5 — Incorrect information

*2025-11-28, version 2.8.4*

This app is essentially useless in terms for correctly tracking your dietary intake - it often doesn’t have the food I’m looking for and when I do find something similar the macros are miles off what it should be. I’m not looking for branded foods necessarily (although tends to have more American brands than British) but just basic ingredients can be far mismatched. It’s clumsy in adding recipes. Find the whole app highly frustrating. There are much better alternatives on the market.

### 1/5 — Complicated

*2025-11-13, version 2.7.90*

You ever try using this Practice Better app? My God… it’s exhausting! I open it up, just trying to book one little appointment one! and suddenly I’m doing homework! There’s tabs, links, forms, reminders… it’s like they turned a calendar into a Rubik’s Cube!

I swear, after five minutes I’m sweating, frustrated, and questioning my life choices. I didn’t sign up for night school, I just wanted to talk to a nutritionist! By the time I finish scheduling an appointment, I feel like I should be getting paid for it. It’s like I’m working a second job, “what do you do for a living?” “Oh, I’m a construction worker and part-time Practice Better administrator.”

And the reading! So much reading! I’m scrolling, clicking, signing digital consent forms, answering questions like I’m applying for citizenship. I don’t want to write an essay I just want to know when my next appointment is!

You know what this app needs? A human. Just one. Someone to call and say, “Hey your appointment’s on Tuesday.” That’s it! Simple! Instead, I’m trapped in some digital maze built by sadists who think efficiency means suffering.

Honestly, by the time I’m done using Practice Better, I feel worse not better!

### 3/5 — Inbox issues

*2025-11-13, version 2.7.90*

There should be a feature to highlight which messages have been viewed, deleted, or pending. Additionally; a button to “flag” important messages sent from practitioners. There should also be an entry feature for supplements + prescription medicine intake ((similar to the food entry button).

### 3/5 — Difficult to navigate!

*2025-10-29, version 2.7.87*

App doesn’t make it easy to navigate and find resources

### 1/5 — Shocking. A criminally poor app. Does not work

*2025-10-28, version 2.7.88*

It's criminal an app this bad is available. It's more criminal practitioners use it. It's a disgrace. Didn't work after two hours. I should be sending a the 1diots a bill for my wasted time

### 1/5 — Not helpful

*2025-10-19, version 2.7.84*

This is the second practitioner I’ve worked with who uses this app and both experiences have been unsatisfactory.
I have clicked on every icon and still can’t see how to submit photos, find my list of foods, do anything really.
As a default, I communicate through email which defeats the whole purpose of the app and makes following the programme much more difficult.

### 1/5 — Ok

*2025-10-17, version 2.7.84*

User unfriendly; unfortunately, there’s no notification for the message, which causes lots of complications. Sometimes I had to let the program.

### 2/5 — Client UX issues

*2025-10-02, version 2.7.82*

I primarily use the food logging part of the app. Your UX is pretty bad. I have experience with user interface design and could give you some constructive feedback. Yeesh.

### 3/5 — Patient’s perspective

*2025-10-01*

This app is a fair way of communicating with a provider. Being able to log journal entries is helpful and that there is room to add freeform notes. What I do like:
- an easy chat connection with my provider
- tracking my journal entries (except sleep) are easy and simple to use.
- my provider can send me notes from my appointments.

What I don’t like:
- logging sleep is horrible. It cannot account for naps during the day which can be beneficial for health and should be tracked! It also doesn’t allow people who work odd shift hours to put in sleep for more than one time per day. So if I went to sleep at 1am and woke at 5am, then later that day slept again at 6pm until 2am the next morning, it will only log one of those times. It should allow for double entries.
- when my provider makes a note on my journal entries, I get a notification. When I click on the notification, it takes me to the day of the journal entries but not the note she made. So when I get 9 notifications for notes made, they are difficult to find, and I sometimes miss seeing them.
- I’d like it to have a quick contact to my provider. I had to call her one day and I couldn’t find her number on Google, and it’s nowhere in the app. On the home page should be a photo of the provider with their address and phone number.

Make these changes and you might get 5 star review from this patient.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Worst app ever!

*2026-07-21, version 2.8.53*

This app is a joke! Hard to navigate and you can’t chat with anyone!!!

### 1/5 — Trying to find tests

*2026-05-10, version 2.8.39*

Takes forever to try and find test results

Titles of search buttons are to generic - and not specific to a search

### 1/5 — Modules completed does not work

*2026-05-09, version 2.8.38*

After watching the 3 modules on sleep, water and stress the app won’t allow me to mark them complete

### 1/5 — Not for higher level practitioners

*2026-02-17, version 2.8.25*

I deeply regret my decision to use this EHR system. I work with complex patients and SOAP notes are robust. There is no way to toggle between various aspects of the note without scrolling in a dizzying manner, only to lose my place in the note. Charm, for instance, has section headers you can easily click between.
I essentially pay more each month for fax integration, but seem to always be required to buy more credits for basic fax jobs.
Support is only via email and they offer minimal help.

### 1/5 — It’s not that hard

*2026-02-16, version 2.8.25*

The database of foods is weak! I got logged out and when I retired all the foods that I painstakingly added manually were gone!

I would think this would be an important piece of the coach client experience, and would’ve real value.

### 1/5 — DYSFUNCTIONAL SCHEDULING Disaster service even when im paying premium.

*2026-02-06, version 2.8.23*

Be careful before you sign up. If few things don’t work properly, that’s understandable. But my scheduling has a big error where it becomes unavailable suddenly every day without me knowing. I have explained the issue to them several times and they are not even trying to understand the issue, forget about fixing it. It’s been two weeks and nothing has changed. No help.

### 1/5 — Hard to find how to send email to office thru patient portal

*2026-02-02, version 2.8.18*

how to send video or pic to office needs to be front and center.

### 1/5 — Hire an app design team….

*2026-01-16, version 2.8.18*

So frustrating to use an app that:

Links don’t actually link to the doc or site that the provider wants me to access.

When a link DOES go to a website, I am locked into the frame in the app so I can’t go back into the app and see what the doc wants me to order from the site without leaving the doggone site.

I worked in tech for 30 years. This app makes me want to fire my doctor and his practice for making poor app choices.

Ugh.

### 1/5 — Confusing

*2026-01-12, version 2.8.7*

Sorry but I cannot find my way around and it is very frustrating.

### 1/5 — Horrible UX and bad sync

*2025-12-30, version 2.8.7*

As of 12/28/2025, Apple data stopped syncing to the app; specifically the lifestyle section. I unlinked device with no success. I reinstalled the app with no success. I restarted with no success.

User experience and user interface is not intuitive at all. Very hard to naturally navigate. It feels like the interface was made for a doctor or a scientist (data overload) rather than for a typical user (focus on pages that are important). Navigation is horrible also, treating a mobile app experience the same as a website experience (note: it should not be the same).

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Health and habit change

*2026-03-04, version 2.8.28*

The Pr Better app facilitates oversight by my practioner as well as goal achievement personally. The app makes this possible by generating awareness. From nutrient breakdown to macro visuals, it has what other tools do. So what’s better? For the practioner: export capability, document upload, and secure messaging. For the client: personal questions are embedded with each meal and range from basic detail (location: at a table versus in the car) to reflective (hunger scale before and after, word-based descriptive free response for mood or physical symptoms). It can track numerous lifestyle metrics and activities as well.

### 5/5 — The Practice and Nutritionist You Need!!

*2026-01-11*

Let me start by saying I’m absolutely a fan of Phara and her practice!!
My reason, I’ve been present for 4yrs running and I’ve personally witnessed transformation for countless persons on many levels. Not just foods mine you but attitude, commitment, and personal growth as pertains to your health and happiness. She has the formula and if you join you definitely won’t be dissatisfied or disappointed in any way!!

### 5/5 — The type of leveling up!

*2025-05-15, version 2.7.73*

This app is my allows me to provide high tough services to my clients. It’s is also like have a virtual assistant with automation and real time communication. The software integration is amazing.

### 5/5 — Serendipity

*2025-05-02*

Sometimes in life you meet the right person at the right time. This is what has happened for me with Lynda Lawrence, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist extraordinaire , of Gut Glow Nutrition. After suffering years of digestive issues et al, she has given me hope. And she accepts all kinds of health insurance!Admittedly, I usually don’t like keeping track of things in an app, but Practice Better is user-friendly, even for a 61 year old!
Can’t wait to see what happens next 👍

### 5/5 — Gets done what I need it for

*2025-04-24, version 2.7.70*

I haven’t explored the range of features so this review doesn’t cover everything about this app and there genuinely may be parts that won’t be right for you. In my case my practitioner needs to communicate with me daily, send notes, and book appointments and this app does that perfectly!

### 5/5 — What an incredible nutritional and lifestyle experience!

*2025-04-23*

I initially connected with Deanna DeWitt, a Dietitian at The Shala in Huntington, West Virginia, and the experience has been nothing short of incredible. From the start, Deanna sent me an extensive set of documents to complete, capturing a detailed history of my eating habits and requesting my previous and current lab tests. I was already impressed before even meeting her. After a week of exchanging documents, I finally arrived at The Shala for our appointment. Sitting down with Deanna felt like consulting a nutritional scientist as she meticulously reviewed my lab results and discussed specific foods that could enhance my health. Our conversation lasted over an hour, during which she had crafted a personalized meal plan tailored to my lifestyle and lab results. I left with a clear strategy for transforming my diet and enhancing my quality of life at the age of 64, focusing on longevity and wellness. Inspired by the encounter, I reached out to five of my closest friends, urging them to connect with Deanna for their own personalized game plans. I wholeheartedly recommend Deanna—her work is truly a passion, not just a job.
