### 5/5 — A wonderful app!!

*2026-02-20*

This is perfect for practicing repetition and/or practicing a piece of a song. I’ve been enjoying it for a couple of years now. I couldn’t do without Practice Player! I absolutely love it!!

**Developer response:** Hey there WA9T thanks for using practice player!

### 4/5 — player issues

*2026-02-09, version 2.6.13*

having playback issues

### 4/5 — Really great app!

*2026-02-04*

I think this app is pretty fantastic and has a great set of features, and is a lot better than other similar apps when trying to playback songs. I highly recommend this app and think it’s of really good value for musicians starting out in their career. The only reason I don’t rate it 5 stars yet is that there are a few very minor bugs at this moment, but other than that I think this is such an essential tool that should be in just about anyone’s app library who is serious about getting better at an instrument.

**Developer response:** Hey there J001enlt, thanks for using Practice Player! Which bugs are you seeing? Send them through the Send Feedback link in the menu and I'll take a look.

### 4/5 — It helps a lot

*2025-03-07*

A great tool to learn music. Select the parts you want to train and repeat them until the end of the world (or you finally learn). The method for choosing and including songs is a little tricky, but works.

**Developer response:** Hey there Marlo, thanks for using Practice Player! What was tricky about adding songs? Let me know through the Send Feedback link in the menu and I'll take a look.

### 4/5 — Bugs

*2025-01-16*

Great app but unfortunately saving backups wont work. Whatever I choose iCloud nor on device. It just jumps back to the saving window.

**Developer response:** Hey there medenaii, this was an iOS 18 bug and we’ve added a workaround. Thanks for using Practice Player

### 5/5 — Great app, better service

*2025-01-06*

Exactly what I was looking for so I can practice more easily on the go. New update works even better. Thank you!

**Developer response:** Hey there Dart7hrower, thanks for using Practice Player! Glad the update is working well for you.

### 4/5 — App drops songs from imported playlists

*2024-11-22*

So it’s been many months since I last updated this review. I received an email from Jeff again last week totally out of the blue telling me this issue was fixed - and it is! Again, I never expected this. It says so much to Jeff and his character and commitment. Thank you, Jeff! One final suggestion - allow the ability to alter the pitch of songs as well to compensate for dropped tunings and this app will be perfect! Thank you again for a great app!
**************************************************
I’m updating my original review. I was having trouble with songs dropping from the app but it has since been fixed. Jeff, the app developer reached out to me many months later to let me know that this has been addressed. I was never expecting this, and it says a lot about him and his commitment to quality and customer support. If only there was a way to adjust the pitch up or down a few cents that, to me, would complete the app. ———————————————- I was really attracted to this app for the features it had but after using it for an hour I’m really disappointed with it. The app keeps dropping songs imported from Apple play. I have uploaded a 9 song playlist several times in the past hour. The app keeps dropping the songs, and I have to delete the playlist and upload them again. This has happened 5 times in the past hour. This is very frustrating because I love the features of this app and hope you can get it fixed. I even upgraded to the ultimate version and still have issues. As is right now, I would not recommend this app.

**Developer response:** Dcat, thanks for using Practice Player!

We’ve indeed fixed a lot of issues. Even more recently with Apple Music. Hope you continue to use and enjoy the app.

### 5/5 — Awesome Application

*2024-11-22*

I use this to loop songs and master hard breakdowns. Truly awesome to be able to take notes and curate my songs

**Developer response:** Hey there Jelloisgood, thanks for using Practice Player! Good luck with those breakdowns.

### 5/5 — Great app to practice with

*2024-11-19*

I like the app. Able to add multiple songs, add multiple points to loop through and can backup and restore. Jeff the creator has been very responsive and helpful with app issues and getting a fix out there pretty quickly. I run it on an iPad and an iPhone. I’ve had issues with being able to backup on my iPhone but it’s old, iPhone 6s and so not app issue. I highly recommend.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the review and for using Practice Player!

### 5/5 — Love this app!!!

*2024-11-04*

Exactly what I needed!!! When I’m trying to learn a difficult solo, this app lets me isolate a passage, slow it way down and play it over and over until I nail it. This has become an indispensable tool is my arsenal of music training apps. I use this app every day and recommend it to all of my fellow musicians.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the review Russ!

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.1.0 — 2026-10-21

Move your practice points. Long-press a point, choose Move, then drag it to a new time or nudge it by a tenth of a second or a full second. Start and end points move too.

Move a point:
Until now a point stayed where you first tapped it. Now you can put it exactly where the phrase starts. Long-press any point in the list and choose Move. The slider thumb jumps to that point, and you drag it to the new time. For small corrections, the −1s, −0.1s, +0.1s and +1s buttons move it by an exact amount, and Reset returns it to where it was. While you move it, the point's row slides to its new place in the list, so you can see where it will land. Tap Write to keep the change, or Cancel to leave everything as it was.

Hear the song while you move:
Tap the speaker button while you move a point, and the song plays in short bursts that follow your finger. When you let go, you hear one second of the song from the new time, so you know you placed it right. The preview plays at your practice speed. For Apple Music songs, the preview plays after you let go.

Move the loop itself:
The start and end points move the same way. Drag the start point and the loop's range follows it. Drag the end point past the start point and the two swap places. On the delete screen, you can move a point as well: long-press it and choose Move Point, or select one point and tap the Move button.

Also in this update:
• A What's New card like this one opens after an update, so you never miss a new feature
• A point's time now shows the exact tenth of a second
• The Move Point command is translated in every language

Fixes:
• Two points can no longer share the same time
• Setting a new start or end point keeps the points you have selected to delete
• Deleting a start or end point together with its neighbour keeps your loop intact
