Select the parts you want to train and repeat them until the end of the world (or you finally learn). The method for choosing and including songs is a little tricky, but works. ### 4/5 — Bugs *2025-01-16* Great app but unfortunately saving backups wont work. Whatever I choose iCloud nor on device. I received an email from Jeff again last week totally out of the blue telling me this issue was fixed - and it is! Again, I never expected this. It says so much to Jeff and his character and commitment. Thank you, Jeff! One final suggestion - allow the ability to alter the pitch of songs as well to compensate for dropped tunings and this app will be perfect! Jeff, the app developer reached out to me many months later to let me know that this has been addressed. I was never expecting this, and it says a lot about him and his commitment to quality and customer support. If only there was a way to adjust the pitch up or down a few cents that, to me, would complete the app. ———————————————- I was really attracted to this app for the features it had but after using it for an hour I’m really disappointed with it. The app keeps dropping songs imported from Apple play. I have uploaded a 9 song playlist several times in the past hour. The app keeps dropping the songs, and I have to delete the playlist and upload them again. This has happened 5 times in the past hour. This is very frustrating because I love the features of this app and hope you can get it fixed. I even upgraded to the ultimate version and still have issues. When I had a support issue the team got back quickly and followed up. I highly recommend ### 4/5 — Great but still needs some polish *2023-07-24* Overall this is a great app and is very intuitive to use. There are some aspects that still need work. 1. It would be very helpful if there was an option to keep the screen active and not dim and then sleep. As it is, I continually have to unlock my phone if I don’t touch the screen every so often. 2. There is a bug with the speed setting. Sometimes when my phone sleeps and I then unlock and go back into the app, the speed has reset to normal speed (I had it set at a slower setting). It is great to learn new tunes by setting two to four bar loops including adjustment of the tempo in order to keep up with recordings. Can you add songs to folders or groups? **Developer response:** The webpage is one page and has a large “download” button at the bottom. You can’t miss it. Is this a fake review? There is a Send Feedback link on the menu. Currently there are no groups or folders on the app. ### 1/5 — Buggy *2023-11-14* Have loved this app in the past but lately it will suddenly stop playing after 4 or 5 loops. Also if you want to keep it playing while phone goes into sleep mode it will stop playing after a few seconds. I’ve had this report from other users but haven’t made it around to fixing it quite yet. If you’d have time to reach out to me via the app contact, I’d love to know if you have any restrictions on cellular data usage for the music app or for practice player, or any other restrictions you believe may be impacting this feature. Apple frequently breaks their APIs too. So sometimes stuff gets fixed with new iOS releases. I highly recommend this app and think it’s of really good value for musicians starting out in their career. Jeff the creator has been very responsive and helpful with app issues and getting a fix out there pretty quickly. I run it on an iPad and an iPhone. I’ve had issues with being able to backup on my iPhone but it’s old, iPhone 6s and so not app issue. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. ### 5/5 — Great app but tempo adjuster has stopped working? *2024-07-26, version 2.4.6* Hi i’m updating the initial review i left below because I’m still a fan of the app but wanted to ask if the added feature of being able to backup or restore your files means being able to export the track with all its points notes etc made on the app for future use? Also, for some reason, every time i open the app now none of the apple music imports are there but instead it just says Apple Song Unavailable Try Adding again . Once i reload the tracks the stuff i’ve created in the app is there but it’s just a bit frustrating having to do this every time i use the app and it’s a bit of a guessing game trying to work out which track is which. I realise both these issues may not be caused by the app itself but could be an Apple or other block but hoping you can at least clarify the backup//restore feature in case i’m doing something wrong. Oh and the older tempo changing issue isn’t one anymore which i’m happy to report! Still use the app more than most on my devices for prepping orchestral repertoire and have working around the apple music problem by importing tracks from my icloud drive locally and those don’t disappear. Hi, As a violinist i love this app and have found it invaluable for learning and practicing orchestral repertoire. It’s so easy to navigate and saves so much time during practice sessions. Much to my dismay the tempo adjustment feature has just stopped working altogether and I can’t work out why. It was one of the features I used extensively so I’m posting this in the hope that you’ll be able to fix this. I use the app on both my iPhone 8 Plus and my iPad Pro and it’s not working on either. I would be so grateful if you could solve this problem as it’s a significant loss.
