## What is Praxima?

Praxima is a companion for looking at art in New York City.

Know what is worth your time. Browse what is on view across Chelsea, the Lower East Side, Tribeca, SoHo, and beyond — what just opened, what closes this week, what people are going to see. Plan a walk between shows with travel times that make an afternoon feel possible.

Praxima keeps up with you while you are out. Arrive at a gallery and it offers to check you in; pass near a show you saved and it can tell you. Rate what you saw while it is still fresh, and keep a running record of every show you have been to.

See through other people's eyes. Follow the members and venues whose looking you trust, and share your own when you want to. What stays private stays private.

What you can do:
— Browse exhibitions across New York City galleries and museums
— Find shows on an interactive map, filtered by neighborhood or style
— Build and share gallery walk itineraries
— Check in as you arrive, rate what you saw, and keep the record
— Follow members and venues whose looking you trust
— Read what others wrote about the same exhibition
— Photograph artworks, scan wall text, and keep your own notes

Praxima is made in New York by people who look at art.

### 5/5 — More than a gallery guide

*2026-07-17*

This app goes beyond typical gallery recommendations, it helps plan routes between shows and share them with friends (or dates!). I also love the notes feature, which lets me capture my thoughts and photos and organize them into an archive of inspiration for my own next project. Please bring this to other cities beyond NYC!
