Cleaner pages, simpler choices and navigation, easier to skip the music when it’s below par, or when I dont want to hear the reading a second time. ### 4/5 — Best scripture app out there *2025-11-25, version 5.8.15* I love this app so much but the only reason I’m not giving it five stars is because you don’t actually read through the entire Bible by using it. I use this app every day and I think it’s incredible and I also understand why the creators probably see it best not to try to cram the entire scripture into it because there is a lot of scripture that does not lend itself well to Lectio Divina in the same way. Yet, I wish there was some kind of option or track to hear lesser-known chunks of scripture with the nice background music so that I could get more of my Old Testament readings done in this meditative way. When some things about it bothered me they always listened to my concerns. I especially like the new feature where I can skip ahead, mainly because the music which sometimes is, and should be, directed towards younger people. The content is the best, bar none. But the app stinks! It is incoherent and not at all user friendly. I listen now via Apple podcasts, which has its own set of problems (mainly, podcasts list out of order and automatically show as played and expire a day before I even get to them!). But at least they play. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2024-01-11, version 4.3.5* I used to use this but it doesn’t work anymore. I wrote to the developer and raised my concerns and the responded saying they would look into it. That was ages ago and after an initial question from them which I responded since then no response. Tied using the latest update but still no good. Works on rare occasion. A friend has the same issue. It’s a lovely idea for an app but I feel the changes make too complicated. Obviously others find the same issue. I could understand that it may be my issues but when other have same issues then it is clearly the app. ### 1/5 — No Longer Works on iPad *2023-11-02, version 4.3.4* This was my favorite app but it no longer works on the iPad as many other reviews have stated. Daily Moment does not load, app just spins. A wonderful resource but it is no longer useable. I can still access the content online in my phone browser. I could listen in my app to previously reviewed prayers except when I deleted the app and downloaded again to fix my problem. When I first downloaded, it was a much simpler app….but it worked seamlessly. There is so much valuable content now crammed into the current iteration that it takes forever for the daily reading to start, or for me to be able to navigate from one feature to another. Often, it simply hangs, and I have to re-boot the phone to get out. I think you have to offer 2 versions of this: 1. Current version, which may work well on laptops/home computers, and 2. Light version, stripped of all the graphics and add-ons, that make it difficult/impossible for phones to be able reliably access. ### 1/5 — Given up hope! *2023-02-13, version 4.2.2* I have now given up hope of ever using this once amazing app ever again. The alleged new fixes for IPhone SE and Mini 5 IPad have not worked for either of my devices. IPad does not display any of the supposed new features and I cannot read the way too small text on SE.
