Read and prayed through in an applicable way?! In a word…Extraordinary! First, I 🧡each morning’s devotionals. They cut right to the heart because the author is willing to expose and enmesh her life’s experiences into the topic of the day. It’s a refreshing twist from the traditional model. No questions at the end, but thought-provoking content once you’re done reading. And then my favorite — the prayers prayed using the Bible as a directive. From Genesis on and read in small snippets grouped over short periods, I hear the Word is read from different translations and then aptly prayed in such a relevant manner. I’m drawn to God because it’s His Word through these soul-piercing prayers that speak in an extraordinary way!
