## What is Prayer?

Make time for your prayer.

Prayer pauses selected distracting apps at prayer time so you can step away and pray.

PRAYER TIMES
See Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha. Times are calculated on your iPhone using your location or coordinates you enter. Choose your calculation method and Asr convention, and adjust individual times to match local guidance.

DISTRACTIONS BLOCKED
Choose which apps to pause with Apple's Screen Time controls. After praying, take a fresh photo of your prayer mat and confirm to restore access. On-device image recognition checks for a mat. If you don't use a mat, you can confirm with a photo of your prayer space instead.

OPTIONAL DHIKR
Set your own repetition target and use the suggested phrases or your own dhikr. Optional dhikr blocks begin 40 minutes after you confirm Dhuhr, Asr or Maghrib. Tap to count and finish your target to restore access. You can also enable a local reminder.

SIMPLE BY DESIGN
Prayer follows your iPhone's light or dark appearance. It is free, with no subscriptions, purchases or ads. Prayer calculations and photo checks run on your device.

Enable Screen Time and choose apps to use blocking. Camera access supports photo confirmation; notifications are optional. Image recognition can make mistakes and cannot verify that someone prayed. Prayer-space photos and dhikr counts are user-confirmed. An unfinished dhikr block expires after one hour. Open Prayer regularly to refresh its schedule and update your saved location after travel. Prayer start times may differ from mosque congregation times.
