There are some simple updates that could make it a little more versatile. While you can have certain prayers scheduled for certain days (I’m a priest and this helps me pray for my parish regularly), you cannot organize the order of those prayers. It would be helpful if you could select multiple prayers at once to schedule them in a single action. As it is, you have to edit each prayer individually to schedule them for certain days of the week. That takes a lot of time and is really tedious. It would also be nice to check off prayers as you pray for them without marking them as “answered,” so you can keep track of who’ve you prayed for while your praying, but they continue to recur on their appointed days. Overall, I love this app because it is simple. Other prayer apps seem to provide you with mediocre devotional content. This is a simple prayer list. FYI - the first thing that popped up when I downloaded the app was a quote from a Christian leader who just had a moral failure. For this reason (and to allow the user to choose whether they want random quotes to pop up on the list), you should add the option to remove the assorted quotes from the prayer list. It’d be an easy add in the settings section of the sub-bar. As it is, it’s not an app that I’d like to use - since I’d like to curate my own list instead of have items pushed to me. As I have different people I pray for each day. A few things I would like is be able to separate my prayer requests for each individual but keep them all together, like the person could have a subfolder (cause I already have people in categories: work, church, friends, family…)and I can list different requests that are not all in the same description because when I get an answered prayer from one I can’t send it to answered because its connected to all the other unanswered prayers. Because I love that I can send the prayer request to the answered section! Also, I would love to be able to link my devices so I dont always have to use my phone. Sometimes I want to use my computer, because I get distracted on my phone with all the notifications. Yet over all I still find this app to be the best prayer app out there. Seems like very few prayer diaries are ever supported longer term ### 1/5 — Upgrade is a major Downgrade *2017-11-01* I have used the Prayer NB app for 3-4 years and found it to be quite useful and was glad to use it on a regular basis. I found it easy to use and easy to read on the screen and each screen contained just the right amount of information. But the recent major Upgrade in my opinion is a MAJOR Downgrade for the following reasons: 1) When you select a specific list that contains several prayer items, you can then turn the screen (on the iPhone) to a horizontal position and in the old version you obtained a nice layout. Something I thought of as a simple but useful 3x5 card. You could have several reasonable lines of text on the screen that on the old version were easy to read. However, in the new version what was a nice 3x5 type card on the screen as been reduced to a 1x1 square which does not fill the screen (like in the older version) and with a significant amount of space taken up not with information from the prayer list items, but with buttons – which to me could have been easily handled with one drop down menu. 2) The old version had nice easy to read fonts. The new version has very thin and light black text that is much more difficult to read. 3) If you are going to change things, a least really improve things. For example, when a list is created I can’t find any way to reorder the list. It seem like you should be able to tab and hold an item and then either move it up or down in a list. If I could, I would glad go back to using the layout from the older version – too bad you don’t provide that as an option. Received very nice response from developers and am very happy to hear about future updates. Will be glad to stay with this app and hope for the best. As a long time user it is likely that you know we had lost all functionality with the release of iOS 11 which left people completely unable to access their prayer information. You likely also know that the app hadn't received an update in a few years and had fallen behind some of our other projects. That being said, we wanted to get a fresh design out that would function on iOS 11 to our users as soon as possible so they could get back to do what is most important, praying. After the initial release of Prayer Notebook 3 we immediately dove into planning for 3.1 which we have already begun development on. We have heard from others the difficulty of reading the new fonts and the frustration of no longer being able to sort prayers and we hope to address both in the coming update which we hope will be ready in a matter of weeks. We are grateful for your patronage and we hope that you will stick with us through these growing pains. It has changed my prayer life completely. This app so very easy to use and so customizable, you can set it up by categories for daily, weekly, monthly, yearly and within those settings are more settings. You can send text messages to those you have prayed for and encourage them. There is so much more that I haven’t mentioned that you can do with this app to make it your Prayer Notebook.
