## What is Prayer Time Offline?

Prayer times calculated on your device from the sun's position — no internet, no account, no ads.

WHY THIS APP
• Works completely offline. The timetable never touches the network.
• Your location never leaves the phone — not your coordinates, not your city. No ads, no tracking, no account.
• Real alarms, not notifications. A prayer alarm rings through silent mode and Focus, the way the Clock app does — which matters most for Fajr.

• Fajr, Sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha, plus Imsak, midnight and the last third of the night
• Hanafi or Shafi'i Asr

Times are computed from the sun's astronomical position. Like any timetable this rests on a convention — please check it against the times your local mosque publishes, and use the calibration screen if they differ.

### 1.2 — 2026-09-01

The calculation row on the main screen now names the school it is using — “Asr: Shafi'i 1×” rather than “Asr shadow 1×” — so it uses the same word as Settings, and the factor is still there to check against your mosque's timetable.

Your settings now survive a reinstall. Method, school, calibration, per-prayer adjustments and alarms come back from iCloud; your city deliberately does not, so a shared Apple ID cannot put one person's city on another's phone.

Settings is tidier: Location has its own section, and there is a switch for sending diagnostics.

On iPad the qibla compass fills the screen instead of sitting at phone size, and the day's times no longer stretch from edge to edge.

You can now share the app, and the monthly timetable you send ends with a link to it.

### 1.1 — 2026-08-31

Prayer times are now right in far more of the world.

Asr ran an hour late wherever the local convention uses the shorter shadow — much of the Arab world, Africa, Southeast Asia and the West. Fajr and Isha were off in Uzbekistan. Every country now starts on the method its own religious authority uses.

The main screen always names the convention it is calculating with, and tapping it opens the setting. If the times disagree with your mosque, that row is where you correct them.

Switching the app language now updates every screen at once, instead of leaving parts behind until the next launch.

Also new: the app sends crash reports and a small amount of anonymous diagnostic data, so mistakes like the ones above can be found without waiting for someone to write in. Your location is never included — not your coordinates, not your city, not your country. The privacy policy has the detail.
