Preacher Prep is where Bible teachers keep their thoughts before the writing starts. Capture ideas, verses, illustrations and quotes the moment they come, tag them to a passage or a series, and have everything waiting for you when you sit down to prep. Not a sermon writer. The step before it. The message doesn't start at your desk on Thursday. It starts in the car, on a walk, mid-prayer. CAPTURE One box, always ready. A thought, a quote, an illustration: two lines or two paragraphs. Scripture references are detected as you type and linked to the full text. Speak it instead when your hands are busy, or paste in years of old notes and let Preacher Prep split and tag each one. SHAPE Pin your notes to a Prep (a date, a place, a passage) and watch a scattered week gather itself into an outline: the scripture, your thinking, the quotes worth keeping. Everything else waits in your Notes, searchable the moment you need it. DELIVER Export a clean outline and step up prepared, whether that's a pulpit, a classroom, or a living room. Afterwards the Prep keeps its record: what you delivered, where, and every note that fed it. Nothing is lost; next year's message may already be in this year's notes. AI ASSIST (Pro) It never writes it for you. When you're ready, it reads your notes for a Prep and surfaces the threads: throughlines across your own notes, exact insights from the commentaries you've chosen, and a few sharp questions worth sitting with. The voice up front stays yours. Your notes are read only when you ask, and never used to train AI models. COMMENTARIES (Pro) Choose up to five trusted, time-tested commentary voices: Matthew Henry, Barnes, Gill, Wesley, and more. Assist studies what they wrote about your tagged passages and quotes their exact insights, with the source named. FREE FOREVER Capturing is the whole point, so it stays free: unlimited notes, Preps, search, and scripture detection, on every device. Pro adds AI Assist, the commentaries, outline export, and bulk import. Preacher Prep works on iPhone and the web. Your library is the same everywhere. SUBSCRIPTION Preacher Prep Pro is an auto-renewing subscription. Monthly and annual plans are available, with two months free on the annual. Prices vary by country: in Australia it is A$5.99 per month or A$59.90 per year, and the price for your region is shown in the app before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends; manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you subscribe. Autocorrect now works properly when you type a note. And AI Assist keeps going if you leave a Prep while it is reading your notes: the prompts will be there when you come back, and the reading card now shows what it is doing. ### 1.1.1 — 2026-09-13 Small update behind the scenes: we can now see whether our ads are working. Nothing about your notes, Preps or how the app works has changed. ### 1.1.0 — 2026-08-26 Bulk import can now create a Prep for you. Paste your notes in, and pin them either to a Prep you already have or to a new one you make right there, without leaving the screen or losing what you pasted. Prep lists now put the one you worked on most recently at the top, so the Prep you are actually in the middle of is the first one you see. If your Pro access was given to you rather than bought, the app now says so, shows when it runs out, and stops offering you a subscription you do not need. Fixed a button on the import summary screen that was drawn narrower than its own label. ### 1.0.1 — 2026-08-16 Scripture popups now show verse numbers, so a passage reads the way it does in a Bible. The capture box grows as you type, up to four lines, instead of staying on one. Editing a scripture reference now updates its tag. Backspacing "John 3:16" to "John 3" tags the chapter instead of leaving the verse tagged. Dates follow your region instead of always showing US format. Restore Purchases now works properly. If you subscribed and the app did not recognise it, restoring will put that right. Your Pro status refreshes when you reopen the app, and the plan card updates as soon as it changes. The subscribe screen shows the correct price, and only offers a free trial if you are eligible for one.
