## What is Predit?

Predit is a video editor for iPhone built for fast turnarounds. It stabilizes using the gyroscope data from your camera, lets you build the cut, and hands it back ready to publish, or ready to keep editing in the app you already use.

BEFORE YOU BUY: WHICH FILES WORK
MP4 files from any camera: GoPro, Action 6, Avata, Mavic clips, and so on.

From a Sony, MXF files recorded in XAVC-L work: Predit rewraps them to MP4 without recompressing and recovers the gyroscope data stored inside.

MXF files recorded in XAVC-I CANNOT be opened. It is 10-bit 4:2:2, all-intra, and no iPhone has the chip that decodes it. This is not a Predit limitation; no iPhone app can do it. If your camera records XAVC-I (the FX6 ships that way by default), switch it to XAVC-L, or use the MP4 proxy the camera records alongside.

STABILIZATION WITH YOUR CAMERA'S OWN DATA
Your GoPro and your Sony store what their gyroscope measured inside the file. Predit reads that measurement and straightens the clip with it, instead of guessing the motion by analyzing the image. It also corrects rolling shutter, which is what makes a fast pan look like jelly.

It matters most where it is needed most: FPV flights with the GoPro, and Sony cameras with no in-body stabilization.

EDITING
• Import several clips at once, from any camera
• Trim, reorder and adjust speed, with a "conform" mode for clean slow motion that neither invents nor drops frames
• Reframe by dragging, without distorting the image: fill and crop, or full frame with letterbox bars. With keyframes, the reframe moves along the clip, easing in and out at each point
• Each clip's own sound with per-clip volume, plus a music track on top with a volume curve you shape over the timeline
• Export a single MP4: vertical 9:16 or 3:4, horizontal 1080p, classic 4:3, UHD 4K, or a size you set yourself

COLLAGE
Stack several videos in the same frame and split the height between them. The bands point to clips you have already loaded, so no new files appear that you would need to relink when you reopen the project.

AUTO-SAVE
Your edit saves itself as you work, and you can keep several named projects. If the phone closes the app, it offers to pick up where you left off when you come back.

FOR THOSE WHO SHOOT LOG
One .cube LUT per clip: the conversion, plus an optional look on top. Lift, gamma and gain before the LUT, which is the order a colorist works in. Predit does not ship with LUTs: you bring your own and they stay in your library.

EVERYTHING STAYS ON YOUR PHONE
No accounts, no cloud, no ads and no tracking. Your videos never leave the device. One-time purchase: buy it once and it is yours.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 2.0.1 — 2026-10-24

Native iPhone app: The app has been completely redesigned to deliver superior performance, enhanced smoothness, and seamless integration with your device.
Audio Waveform: A new way to view audio waveforms when importing your music files for more precise editing.
General performance improvements and bug fixes.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-10-14

Full redesign

The interface was rebuilt to Apple's guidelines, so it feels like an iPhone app instead of a web page: system typography, solid buttons, segmented controls and grouped lists. The accent moves to the teal of the logo, and every tap target now meets Apple's 44-point minimum.

The clip strip is now a rail of cards and the transport moved below the frame, giving the video more screen. Timeline segments are drawn solid, and frame ticks appear when you zoom in. Each card's number belongs to the clip and no longer changes when you reorder.

Reframing keyframes

Reframing now moves along the clip: mark where it starts and where it ends, and the camera eases in and out at each point.

Fixes

Playback crosses from one clip to the next without stalling — the cut went from up to a quarter of a second down to one or two frames.

Fixed a case where playback could skip a clip or start halfway into the next one.

### 1.0 — 2026-10-11
