## What is Predvizhniki?

Peredvizhniki is an educational app dedicated to the artists of the Society for Traveling Art Exhibitions, who shaped Russian art in the second half of the 19th century.

The app features 150 renowned artworks from 31 traveling exhibitions held between 1871 and 1904.

Many of these paintings can be seen today in the Tretyakov Gallery, while others are preserved in collections of 14 Russian museums.

The collection includes works by 40 artists, among them: Perov, Kramskoi, Repin, Surikov, Kuindzhi, Savrasov, Shishkin, Polenov, Levitan, Vasnetsov, Pryanishnikov, and Yaroshenko.

Interactive educational quizzes help you:

— recognize paintings by title or detail;

— identify the artist;

— understand the style and subject of each work.
