Preference Card® is designed to support the information and equipment needs of healthcare workers who assist physicians in surgery or special procedures. Specifically, this App allows the user to document, store, recall, or change the equipment needs, set-up, and procedure needs for physicians involved in challenging patient care procedures. The Preference Card® app user can: create and recall files, perform in-app editing, date stamp edits, document and photograph equipment needs and procedure notes to a specific physician and/or procedure. The Photos are useful in documenting Mayo or Back Table set-up, patient positioning, or unusual equipment needs. All photos can be custom labeled. Emails of specific files created through the Preference Card® App can be sent to other Preference Card® App end users. These emails will automatically integrate the files into the App of the recipient. Further, in-app emails and phone calls can be made to Vendor Representatives through the App software. The Preference Card® App will prove useful in cross training OR staff, educating Surgical Technology Students, and in orienting new Surgical Technologists or Circulating Nurses. Special Procedure areas also use the Preference Card® app. So, whether procedures occur in the OR, ER, IR, Endoscopy, or Clinic...the Preference Card® app is the information overload solution. Unfortunately, you are not able to do that on this app. Otherwise, it is very useful and I do like the app. Just needs an update so I can go back and edit existing cards instead of having to start over. ### 3/5 — No way to edit cards *2022-09-10, version 2.0.6* This app is very useful but definitely needs an upgrade to edit the preferences once saved. For now I have to start all over. Also needs an exit button after opening the photos. I have to close out the app to get back in the card. ### 4/5 — Makes Tech Life So Much Easier, Worth It! *2021-01-23, version 2.0.6* I think there have been updates since some of the other reviews I’ve seen for this app. It is easy to create, edit, and look up cards. The backup and airdrop features are amazing. You can take pictures of your setup, Mayo, back table, etc. Several people in our OR have downloaded the app and we can all just airdrop cards to each other. Definitely worth it, with the price under $10.00 ### 1/5 — Cannot edit after creating *2020-10-21, version 2.0.6* Would have liked it but you can’t edit the preference card after creating it, you would have to create a new one ### 4/5 — Better than My Surgeon *2017-02-03, version 2.0.4* I just switched to this from the My Surgeon app and this one is way better so far. This would be an even better app if they make every category with lists like the gloves and gowns category. ### 1/5 — What a waste *2016-09-08, version 2.0.3* There is NO data in this $10 app. EVERY bit of information has to be typed in at least once....every word and number. What a rip-off! I felt like there would be some basic information like glove sizes and even a few popular brands. Scrub solutions to choose from. Not even a basic orthopedic case template to work from. Unless you have a lot of time to type EVERYTHING into this app, don't waste your money. Their website doesn't mention any of this. Great interface and very user friendly but needs more sections such as wound closure, dressing, positioning.
