Making selling clothes on Vinted so much easier and has increased sales. The new update being able to photograph front and back will also hopefully be a game changer.

I would like to provide feedback regarding the ethnicity and age fields in your app.

I was surprised to see that I am required to select an ethnicity when creating a listing. I do not understand why my ethnicity or age is relevant to selling a household item, and there does not appear to be an option to skip these questions or choose “Prefer not to say.”

I was also concerned by the ethnicity categories provided. The list includes broad categories such as “African,” “Asian,” and “Hispanic,” but does not include options such as Black, Black British, Afro-Caribbean, or Caribbean. As someone who does not identify with any of the options presented, I found the list exclusionary and inaccurate.

Additionally, the use of the term “Caucasian” feels outdated. It is a term that many organisations and researchers have moved away from because it is imprecise and based on historical racial classifications that are no longer widely considered appropriate.

If these categories are being used to generate AI images, I would encourage you to review both the necessity of collecting this information and the way these options are presented. At a minimum, users should be given a wider range of inclusive choices and the ability to opt out entirely.

I hope you will consider reviewing this part of the app, as it currently feels both unnecessary and poorly designed for users who simply wish to sell an item.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this feedback it's exactly the kind of thoughtful response that helps make the app better for everyone, I genuinely appreciate it.

I'd like to offer a bit of clarification that I hope puts your mind at ease. The ethnicity and age fields you're referring to are part of the Virtual Model feature, which is designed to generate a realistic photo of your item displayed on a virtual model, on a hanger, as a flat lay, or on a mannequin. 

This feature is enabled by default to give sellers the best possible listing images, but it is entirely optional it can be toggled off at any time and is not required to create or publish a listing. 

There are also several non-human display options available (such as flat lay) if you'd prefer not to use a virtual model at all.

That said, your feedback on the range of categories is well taken. I'll be reviewing the terminology used and expanding the list to better reflect the way people identify, including options such as Black British, Afro-Caribbean, and Caribbean.

I'll do my best to submit an updated version within the next 7 days and will update this response once it's live.

This is an always improving app - the team are genuinely responsive to feedback and so helpful. The app makes it very simple to create listings for Vinted to copy and paste - quick and easy to upload generated images for a clean looking Vinted wardrobe.

Leider verändert er die Kleidung zu mindestens 80% zu stark, egal in welcher Kategorie: Kleiderbügel, weißer Hintergrund oder auch am Menschen … sodass diese nicht zum hochladen als Vorschau Bild geeignet sind.

Wenn Konsistenz für Sie im Vordergrund steht, gibt es mehrere andere Optionen, die in der Regel deutlich gleichmäßigere Ergebnisse liefern, wie z. B. Flat Lay, Schaufensterpuppe oder Kleiderbügel. Diese Darstellungsformen erhalten die ursprünglichen Details des Kleidungsstücks wesentlich genauer und eignen sich daher besser als Vorschaubilder.

Great app for promoting and selling fast on Vinted. Easy downloading and great descriptions making it so easy to sell your items fast. My items were selling before I had time to list another. Always updating with new features such as hashtags etc and now you can also search for items to buy.

Preloved AI is such a brilliant app. You can upload photos of your clothes and instantly choose to have them modelled on either a mannequin or a real person, which makes the listings look so much more professional. It also writes really strong Vinted titles and descriptions, saving loads of time and making items far more appealing. I’ve sold loads of old items simply by re-listing them with the photos generated by this app. On top of that, the customer service is amazing – super helpful and responsive – and the price is very reasonable for what you get. Highly recommend to anyone selling second-hand clothes!
