## What is Premed Prep?

Applying to medical school means keeping track of years of work at once: every course and what it did to your GPA, every hour of clinical and research experience, MCAT section scores, a shortlist of schools, a personal statement and a secondary essay for each of them. Most people run this out of scattered spreadsheets and notes, and lose track of it exactly when it matters.

Premed Prep puts all of it in one place. It keeps your coursework and GPA, MCAT scores, experiences, school research and essays together, adds MCAT practice with full-length exams and performance breakdowns, and connects you to a members community where premed coaches and MCAT tutors answer questions.

It is for anyone on the path to medical school, whether you are a first year still deciding or in the middle of an application cycle.

### 5/5 — A must have for premeds

*2026-09-03*

Premed Prep has made staying organized as a premed much easier. Instead of having MCAT prep, school lists, personal statement drafts, application resources, and advice scattered across different Google Docs and websites, I can keep everything together and work on it from my phone.

I especially like having quick MCAT practice questions for studying on the go, along with discussion boards where you can learn from other premeds and resources covering everything from study strategies to writing a strong application. The tools for planning a medical school list and working on personal statements are also genuinely useful, especially when you want to jot something down or make an edit without opening several different documents.

There are a lot of premed resources out there, but having the parts I actually use organized in one well-designed app makes this one stand out. It has become a really convenient part of my premed workflow.

### 5/5 — Excellent resource for premed

*2026-09-03*

This has been a really helpful app for me as I'm going through my premed journey. I started out as a free user, but then I upgraded to the pro membership and am really enjoying being able to ask questions in the community to coaches. It's also super helpful for keeping everything organized, including tracking my shadowing clinical hours and planning out my premed timeline!

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.0.3 — 2026-09-25

• Send videos in messages. Clips from your phone now attach and play in the conversation, and are made smaller automatically so they send quickly.
• Attachments fixed. Documents and photos — Word, PDF, Excel, images — send reliably again. If a file can't be sent, you're told why instead of being left waiting, and your file stays in the box so you can try again.
• Your conversations are private. Only the people in a conversation can read it.
• PrepTalk is faster, and unread counts stay accurate however long your history gets.
• Built for iPad. Held upright, the app now lays out properly for a tablet instead of stretching one panel across the screen. Every page has been gone over.
• Live class schedules redesigned — easier to scan, with a clearer countdown to the next session.
• Course files now open properly from your phone.
• Signing up now offers the full list of universities.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-16

This update goes back over every screen on your phone.

• The app opens on the Premed Prep logo and takes you straight in — no more sign-in screen flashing past when you're already signed in
• Wide tables now read as a list of cards with every value labelled, instead of one column with the rest off the side of the screen
• Log Classes shows a course's grade, credits, BCPM and school year
• Every dialog fits the screen, with its buttons where your thumb is
• Graphs no longer leave a screenful of empty space beneath them, and the numbers on the MCAT chart can be read
• The MCAT Powerbook fits the width of a phone
• The Chatbot's message box is no longer hidden behind the bottom bar
• TPC Events lists your events with their names and times
• Performance Analytics shows the shape of the page while it loads, instead of a spinner on an empty screen
• Fields are wide enough to type a date into, and images are no longer stretched out of shape
• Test results and analysis laid out for a phone, with the figures two to a row
• A bottom bar and notifications for coaches and admins, and the management screens rebuilt for a phone

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-10

This update rebuilds the app around your phone.

• Smoother scrolling and taps throughout — it moves like an app now, not a
  website in a wrapper
• Pull down to refresh on any page
• A new bottom bar for Home, Dashboard, PrepTalk and Alerts
• Redesigned sign in, sign up and password screens
• The dashboard has been rebuilt for a phone, with your coach near the top
• PrepTalk now fits the screen, so you can start typing straight away, with a
message box that grows as you type
• Message notifications now arrive when someone messages you
• TPC Courses rebuilt for a phone, with the lesson list first
• Course videos now play in place instead of taking over the screen
• Create Test, Subjects & Units, and Previous Tests all redesigned for a phone
• Take a practice test in portrait or landscape — your choice
• Better layouts on iPad
• Fixed an issue that could stop a saved test reopening
