First, the card scan feature is utter trash and you will have to enter the number yourself almost every time. Then, once you try to send your money to your bank account, it says “an unexpected error occurred” and you get nothing. Trash. I had a $100 gift card, and after following their instructions, my transaction turned into a nightmare. The app advertises a fast and easy process, but that was not my experience. They had me upload photos of my gift card and then repeatedly complicated what was supposed to be a simple transaction. To make matters worse, they charged me a 10% fee that was never clearly disclosed upfront. This was especially frustrating because I had received an email with a promotional code stating that my first transaction would be free. When the transaction failed, my money became tied up, and I was forced to file a claim. I was then told it could take up to 30 days to recover my funds. I contacted customer support multiple times, but I received no meaningful assistance or resolution. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this app. If you’re considering using Prepaid to Cash, proceed with extreme caution. I also intend to report my experience to Apple because I believe customers deserve better protection from apps that advertise one experience but deliver another.
