These are designed for students and many of us are struggling financially. Passing these tests can be a path to a new and better career but in the meantime not everyone can afford the upgrade. And while I haven’t explored all of Prepry’s features due to the sheer amount of them, I appreciate how condensed they are and easy to access. Some questions/answers are conflicting and even some things that are not found in the Edelman book. 2. There is no way to filter your questions to the “remaining questions”. I would constantly get some of the same questions which is annoying. Also there are repeat questions of the SAME question/answer. Some of the questions under “remaining questions” are questions I’ve been asked, multiple times. 3. Just do the questions and try to get all “Learned” , but make sure to start early. Don’t wait til your a month out. Used it mainly because it was convenient. I used this and the green book for real studying. This app has good straight forward questions like some versions of the SPI. But I would mainly recommend this for the Doppler images. ### 2/5 — Does not prepare you for SPI *2024-12-31, version 2.2.91* I took the SPI and passed on the first try, but I can't credit this app. The SPI is NOTHING like Prepry's questions. The SPI questions are much, much more difficult so I do not recommend this app. I wish I did not spend money on this. Use the green book and ultrasound board review on YouTube (specifically for Doppler) ### 3/5 — My go-to study tool while in my CVS program *2024-12-03* Update #2: unfortunately I’ve had this problem since I started using the app: if I change the course focus to anything besides Physics, it will always revert back to Physics after I close the app and reopen. I’ve passed the SPI so now I’m focusing on CCI and ARDMS and every time I open the app, it defaults to Physics instead of keeping it on the last used course (CCI or ARDMS in my case). It’s a slight annoyance but it would be nice to have it fixed. Updated #1: they fixed the formatting on iPhone mini 13, and they did so very quickly! Thank you Prepry team :) This is my go to study tool while in my Cardiac Sonography program. I’m using it for the SPI and the ARDMS. Link.com (apparently the website that charged me the first time) without warning just took my money from card for a recurring subscription. When I had tried to manage my subscription in prepry, it just says “institutional subscription”. What does that mean and how am I supposed to cancel it? I would monitor your subscription closely and don’t just assume you aren’t paying for next year just because there’s no payment option showing in the billing’s page. Horrible web interface and deceitful ### 1/5 — Variety *2026-02-15* PREPRY is good for question variety and exposure to mixed topics, and it does a solid job simulating the randomness of board-style questioning. However, it frequently introduces rare terms, obscure eponyms, and diseases that many students have never encountered in primary study materials. If you are using it strictly for exposure and test-style practice, it can be helpful. If you are trying to actively learn and build familiarity organ by organ, it is frustrating. The platform does not allow you to isolate specific organs or systems for focused study, which makes it difficult to reinforce new vocabulary and concepts in a structured way. For students still consolidating content, the fully mixed format can feel overwhelming rather than educational. I chose PREPPRY based on strong recommendations from multiple peers, specifically because I wanted a platform that would track my performance, identify weak areas, and give me meaningful statistics on questions I get right and wrong. Unfortunately, my experience has been nothing but frustrating. Each time I take a practice exam, the system glitches and fails to record my progress correctly. When I log back in, it consistently shows zero progress, claims I have studied for only one day, and reports that I have learned zero questions, with 1,150 new questions remaining. This is completely inaccurate. I have had this service for about a month and have taken at least 15 practice exams, working through approximately 800 questions. On top of the tracking issues, I have identified serious content errors, I have had to email PREPPRY about nearly 10 questions in which the marked “correct” answer was wrong—or where no correct answer existed at all. For a service designed to prepare students for a high-stakes exam, this is COMPLETELY unacceptable. This exam is important, stressful, and expensive. Students rely on review platforms like this for accuracy and reliability. The combination of persistent technical failures and incorrect questions makes this service unreliable and, frankly, disappointing. If negative ratings were possible, that is what I would give. ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2025-12-30, version 3.1.8* I’m not happy that Prepry for iPad doesn’t support split screen ### 1/5 — Waist of time and money *2024-06-28, version 2.2.91* I didn’t pass my Spi, none of the questions were similar even the pictures, not helpful at all, I would just stick with the green book. Very disappointed. ### 1/5 — The worst app ever *2024-05-03, version 2.2.91* I paid about 120 dollars and got 86% but in actual testing even one question was not from this app ### 1/5 — Not working *2024-04-09, version 2.2.5* The SPI Video Course is not working. Is says error while playing video. I emailed but still haven’t received a response. ### 1/5 — Do not waste money *2024-04-01* when I tried to pass the mock exam, the answers showed big bugs. The percentages are shown incorrectly. Because some correct answers in the application are marked as incorrect. That is, your answer is correct, but the application writes that it is incorrect, and the correct answer is the same as the incorrect one. How can you prepare for the exam? I took two paid subscriptions for two months, and all my mock exams showed me the wrong result. I am writing to say that I want my money back. I sent them a screenshot with all the bugs, I sent them twice. But there is no result. No refund, no solution to the problem. I'm still waiting for a refund. I don't know how to add a screenshot here. I included my email so they can get back to me but never did… I.E. “Which chamber of the heart is closest to the descending aorta? A. Left atrium B. Left ventricle C. Right atrium D. Left atrium. “ Of course it’s either A or D… but the app only considers one of them correct… this is not the only question like this… ### 1/5 — Failed *2024-01-23, version 2.1.2* The questions are nothing similar to the actual SPI. Prepry questions are too easy compared to SPI where it is just worded differently and more complicated. The image pictures on Prepry is nothing like the ones in the SPI.
