## What is PrepTimePal?

Stop guessing when to leave.

PrepTimePal tells you exactly when to start getting ready and when to head out—so you arrive on time without stress.

Most apps only tell you how long a drive takes. PrepTimePal goes further. It factors in your prep time, live traffic, and schedule, then keeps updating as real life changes.

No more mental math. No more “I thought I had time.”
Just clear, confidence-boosting timing—every day.

How PrepTimePal helps you

Know when to get ready (not just when to leave)

Tell PrepTimePal how long you need to get ready.
It shows:

	•	“Leave by…” so you don’t cut it too close

Perfect for mornings, appointments, work, school, workouts, and events.

	•	Quickly create trips from saved locations

Knows what’s next

PrepTimePal automatically surfaces your next upcoming trip for today, including repeating events—so you don’t have to dig through lists.

Clear, focused countdown

Your main screen shows:
	•	A large, easy-to-read countdown
	•	A visual progress ring
	•	Clear status like On Track, Leave Now, or Late

Everything you need. Nothing you don’t.

Learns from real life (for repeating trips)

For recurring trips, PrepTimePal keeps a log of what actually happened:
	•	When traffic usually picks up
	•	If you’re often leaving late
	•	How long trips really take on certain days

Over time, it helps you leave smarter—not earlier than necessary.

Designed for real humans

PrepTimePal is especially helpful if you:
	•	Run late without meaning to
	•	Underestimate how long getting ready takes
	•	Hate juggling multiple reminder apps
	•	Want gentle guidance, not nagging alarms

### 1.3 — 2026-06-13

What's New in PrepTimePal 1.3
This is our biggest update yet—your trip now lives on your Lock Screen, you're in full control with a new Settings screen, and dozens of touches make everything smoother.

Live Activities: your trip on the Lock Screen & Dynamic IslandPrepTimePal now shows the one number no other app knows—your commitment. Before you leave, a live leave-by countdown ticks on your Lock Screen, turning red with "Leave now" when it's time.

En route, you'll see whether you're running early or late—"13 min early" in green or "8 min late" in red—plus your predicted arrival.

When you arrive, it shows your final result and quietly dismisses itself.

You decide when it appears: by default the Live Activity shows up within an hour of get-ready time, so a trip tomorrow won't camp on your Lock Screen all day.

Adjust the window in Settings, from 30 minutes to always-on.Introducing SettingsEverything important, one place:

Turn leave-by alerts, get-ready reminders, and notification sounds on or off independently
Set your default prep time—every new trip starts with it filled in
Choose arrival sensitivity (Tight, Normal, or Relaxed) for how precisely PrepTimePal detects you've arrived
Control background tracking and see permission status at a glance, with one-tap fixes

Alerts that break through FocusYour "leave now" moment can now cut through
Focus modes and Do Not Disturb—because being on time shouldn't depend on your phone being polite.
Get-ready reminders stay gentle; only the moment that matters interrupts. It's your call, with a toggle in Settings.

Open in MapsTap your destination on the trip card—or the new "Open in Maps" button—and jump straight into driving directions in Apple Maps or Google Maps. One tap from "time to go" to "turn left ahead."Faster trip setup

Tap a search suggestion and it locks in instantly—no double-tapping, no selections un-selecting themselves
New current-location button: one tap fills in your starting point automatically
Clear, helpful messages if location access needs attention

Trip management
Delete trips with a long-press on any Active Trips card—PrepTimePal cleans up the notifications, tracking, and repeat rules along with it
Fixed: all your trips now show in your lists, including repeating trips on their off-days and trips scheduled days ahead
Plus
A proper first-launch welcome that explains what PrepTimePal needs and why

Fixed notification settings not updating already-scheduled alerts
Polished app icon and many under-the-hood improvements

Set it up your way. Glance at your Lock Screen. Leave on time.

### 1.2 — 2026-06-11

What's New in PrepTimePal 1.2
This update puts you in control. PrepTimePal now has a full Settings screen, smarter notifications, and a proper welcome for new users.
Introducing Settings
Tap the menu on your home screen and you'll find a brand-new Settings page, designed to match the clean look you already know. Everything important lives in one place:

Notification controls — Turn leave-by alerts and get-ready reminders on or off independently, and choose whether notifications play a sound
Default prep time — Set how long you usually need to get ready, and every new trip starts with that number filled in. Adjust once, save taps forever
Arrival sensitivity — Choose Tight, Normal, or Relaxed to control how precisely PrepTimePal detects when you've arrived. Pick what fits your routine
Permission status at a glance — See exactly where notifications and location access stand, with one-tap shortcuts to fix anything that's off

Alerts that break through Focus
Your "Leave now" moment is time-critical—so now it can be treated that way. With Time-Sensitive Alerts enabled, leave-by notifications can break through Focus modes and Do Not Disturb, so you never miss your departure window because your phone was being polite. Get-ready reminders stay gentle; only the moment that matters interrupts. And it's entirely your call—flip it off in Settings anytime.
Background tracking, your way
A new toggle lets you decide whether PrepTimePal keeps tracking your trip when the app is in the background. Already granted Always location access? Your tracking keeps working exactly as before—no action needed.
A proper welcome
First launch now walks you through exactly what PrepTimePal needs and why—location for live travel times, notifications for departure alerts—so you can set up with confidence. Want to revisit it later? It's always available under "Review permissions" in Settings.
Plus

Fixed an issue where changing notification settings didn't always update already-scheduled alerts
Polished app icon and under-the-hood improvements for a smoother experience

Set it up your way. Then stop thinking about it—PrepTimePal will tell you when to go.

### 1.1 — 2026-06-10

What's New in PrepTimePal

This update is all about one of the most important moments in the app: telling PrepTimePal where you're going. Picking an address is now faster, smoother, and smarter.

One tap. Done.

Address selection just got a major upgrade. Tap a search suggestion and it locks in instantly—checkmark confirmed, keyboard dismissed, suggestion list cleared. No double-tapping, no watching your selection mysteriously un-select itself, no re-typing what you already picked.

Behind the scenes, PrepTimePal now knows the difference between you typing and you choosing. When you select an address, it stays selected—period. And if anything goes wrong looking up your destination, your choice stays right where you put it with a clear message, instead of vanishing.

We also made sure slow searches can't sneak back in. Once you've picked your address, old search results won't pop up and clutter your screen a moment later. What you chose is what you get.

Start from right where you are

New in this update: a one-tap current-location button. Planning a trip from wherever you happen to be? Tap the location icon next to your starting point and PrepTimePal finds you, converts your coordinates into a real street address, and fills it in automatically.

It's built to be respectful and reliable:

It grabs your location once—no background tracking, no battery drain
A spinner shows while it's working, so you always know what's happening
If location access is off, you'll get a clear, helpful message (like a quick pointer to Settings) instead of silence

We also fixed a long-standing quirk where "use current location" could quietly do nothing the very first time you used it, right after granting permission. Now it works the first time, every time—and if something does go wrong, PrepTimePal tells you instead of leaving you guessing.

Why it matters
PrepTimePal's whole job is removing friction between you and an on-time arrival. Every tap you don't have to repeat, every address that fills itself in, every error message that actually explains what happened—it all adds up to less fiddling and more confidence.

Set your starting point in one tap. Pick your destination in one tap. Then let PrepTimePal handle the math.
Less time entering trips. More time arriving on time.
