It’s really hard to track your progress, and there’s a cap on the number of questions you can ask AI. If has good questions if you know what you’re doing, but you can only be tested on individual topics— which is the point of a person studying on the SAT. I got a 1340 when just using Khan which is good when compared to my 1220 on the PSAT that I got only a few weeks prior. I think if this app were more developed and less expensive then I would use it because it does ask good questions. It’s just inconvenient to study with. ### 2/5 — Won’t log in *2024-04-09* It won’t let me log into to a different device, and is redirecting to the subscription page. **Developer response:** Hi there! For this app to become a better resource, there needs to be better scrutinisation of the questions put onto the app. Also, please implement an easier way to manage your subscription. **Developer response:** Hi Klae! In the meantime, please utilize the drills first so that you can see answer explanations for each question. ### 3/5 — The app is so good *2023-04-09, version 2.0* I need this app so much but the problem is that it is taking so much time to function properly please help me with this issue I’m facing. sending so much love xoxoxo ### 1/5 — I was excited for this app but my first question severely disappointed me *2023-03-11* It was a systems of equation question, asking for me to find the value of y, the two equations were X + 2y = -18 X - 7y = -11 This is simply math to me so I went about it by doing mental math, first you multiply one of the equations by negative one since the X values are the same. Giving us -x + 7y = 11 And X + 2y = -18 Then you combine the two equations giving us 9y = -7, which is y = -7/9 For the answer choices there were whole numbers only, at first I thought I got it wrong since I was half asleep at the time but when putting it into a calculator I got the same answer. I think this concept of an app is amazing and will be immensely helpful to those who need it, but teaching people the wrong concepts will only hinder them. I will gladly use and recommend and use this app regularly once the issues have been resolved **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback! The colors look good, the layout is nice and everything. I appreciate this a lot, as most prep apps are not nice looking. The problem is that many questions have typos or errors. Mostly math questions. For example the questions puts an equation y = r(sq - 1) and asks what is q in terms of r and s. There is neither an r nor an s here! Some triangle questions have wrong sums as well!! This need to be fixed asap. **Developer response:** Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention! There are many things wrong with it. 1: the quick quiz it has you take, doesn’t even assess every concept. In my quick quiz, I got 0 trigonometry or geometry questions. Whatever it doesn’t ask, it just assumes you don’t know? 2: the flash cards are wrong for the math part. The conversion factor from degrees to radians is multiplication by pi / 180. In the app, it has these flip flopped in the flash cards where it asks how to convert from degrees to radians and vice versa. 3: this app is simply inefficient and a waste of time. You’ll get ridiculously easy questions that won’t actually prepare you for the sat. ### 1/5 — Don't buy it *2024-08-20* bad app many issues and mistakes in the questions. half the questions repeate and half are questions that are stolen from Erica metlzer and have been used already online. Some of the questions don't even have the correct answer. barely any explanation of why the other options are wrong. Save your money *2023-11-30* Ok… so let me begin by saying I’m a master SAT reading/writing tutor who purchased this to preview for my students. The questions are awful! The “right” answers to some actually go against the conventions of Standard Written English, which is horrifying but I guess not surprising if you consider that - as the company admits - these questions are composed using AI. Ugh. For the prior quality I’ve experienced with Strategic Test Prep’s videos, I expected a lot more. I can’t speak for the math problems, but the English side was a huge disappointment and could actually do more harm than good my making students internalize incorrect grammar rules. For shame! Vet your questions better, Preptly. Or pay qualified humans to write and check them. Also you couldn’t come up with a better name than one that basically copied an already-existing company, Preply?? I started using it and I got a 930 when I first took the test and then I went up to a 1030! I know the score is low but going up 100 points in that short time period is really good by just using one app! ### 5/5 — Absolute Lifesaver *2024-02-27* This app has seriously been a game-changer for me in terms of studying. It's so easy to use and I love how convenient it is to have tons of practice questions right on my phone. The explanations are extremely helpful and have genuinely taught me more than those heavy SAT books. I can study wherever and whenever I want with it and have found to be preparing more because of it. Takes a lot of the stress out of studying for the SAT, can look through this app very casually. Expert answers for questions that you do not understand. Best part is, it is fun! What I like about this app is that it really appeals to teenage students. I haven’t seen these questions before, which leads me to believe that they are unique. I like the tutor tips and how they keep the answer explanations pretty simple. Just to be clear - if you’re looking for full tests, this is not the resource you want to use. This is more of a daily practice app to practice questions in shorter spurts. My only qualm is that I wish they had more emphasis on vocabulary since it’s such a big part of the new test. I have been using this app for a while and I have customized my studying and the types of questions I need to work on. It is fun to track your progress in friendly competition with others on the app’s leaderboard.
