## What is Presence Meditation Timer?

Presence is a meditation timer and a truthful record of your practice. Nothing else.

No account. No feed. No advertising. The app works entirely offline and never sends anything anywhere.

THE SIT
Choose a length and begin. Ten seconds to settle, then the timer runs on the wall clock, so putting the phone down or leaving the app never drifts the count. The digits fade after five seconds. Tap to peek. Hold to end.

Your goal bell marks the length you set, then the timer keeps counting upward until you decide to stop. The full elapsed time is what gets recorded, not the goal. Interval bells sound every five minutes, and a scheduled notification marks your goal even if the screen is off.

ONE RECORD A DAY
Presence keeps one honest record per day, with the day turning over at 04:00, so a late sit still counts as tonight.

THE CHAIN, AND GRACE
Miss a day and the chain does not shatter. Keep five days and it recharges, so one missed day is forgiven. You never miss twice. Turn on pause mode while you are away and those days are marked paused, not missed.

CORRECTIONS ARE ALWAYS ALLOWED
Forgot to log yesterday? Open the calendar and add it. The chain recomputes. A record you cannot correct is not a truthful record.

GOALS THAT CHANGE GENTLY
Raise or lower your goal and it applies from tomorrow, never backwards over days you have already sat.

REMINDERS
One evening question at a time you choose, and an optional morning anchor. Both are scheduled on your own device.

YOUR DATA IS YOURS
Everything lives on your phone. Export your whole history as JSON at any time, and import it back. There is no server to trust, because there is no server.
