It is amazing and the quality is beyond what I imagined. I’m pretty speechless. It’s a funny thing how I discovered this app. I would say that god led me to it. Rewind to 2005, I remember listening to Andy Hunter in my car when I was in the Navy stationed in Charleston, SC. After getting out of the Navy in 2007, I’ve aimlessly wondered through life lost. Struggled with addictions, depression, PTSD and a lack of interest in life. Repressing suicidal thoughts is a daily task and at times it feels like this reality is a prison and I’m shackled to this earth. I just want this lost and empty feeling to go away. Now fast forward to today, September 2, 2018. I don’t have a relationship with god and I just got out of jail. While in jail I meet a guy who’s birthday is November 11th (11:11). For some reason 11:11 has been showing up for a while in my life. So I tell the guy about it and he says that he’s a Pastor and I should read the NIV bible. The next day I tell my mom about it. A few days pass and my mom is working the night shift in the ER at the hospital and a guy named Matt who happens to be a pastor is there. She goes to his church and he gifts her an NIV bible for me. I get out of jail after 3 weeks and I go to the church named Elevation. (Almost sounds like Eleven). They show an intro video at church that is 1:11 minutes long. Then they play some music at church and it has synths and other melodic electronic inspired sounds. I leave the church and it reminds me of Andy Hunter that I used to Listen to back in 2005-2007. So it’s been like 11 years since I’ve listened to Andy Hunter. I watch the documentary “This is Me - Andy Hunter” on YouTube. It leads me to this app. I open the app just after connecting with my Pastor Matt at his church and seconds before on messenger. Almost simultaneously after I sent the message to Matt and the app opened after downloading the service packs, it opens to Matt 6:6. I’m confident that god led me to this app. Thank you to Andy Hunter and the other hardworking creative genius’s behind this app. You are truly a blessing and made me realize that life is beautiful and I have faith that god will lead the way. ### 5/5 — Beautiful *2018-08-01, version 1.7.5* What an amazing app! ### 5/5 — Excellent *2018-04-02* I think the concept that Andy and his “Presence Creatives” flesh out is wonderful: an opportunity to sit in God’s presence with music that lifts you up. It is rare to find free, high-quality music, ad-free, but that’s what you have here. The genre is along the lines of electronica, though I’ll leave other, more musically proficient reviewers to explain the sub-genres. Or download the app and listen yourself. If you decide you like the music and want to purchase it on iTunes to support the artist, you can do that as well. For me, the app works well and I have recommended it to friends of mine. Thanks Andy and the Presence Creatives! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Broken & Spoilt *2023-01-10, version 3.0.0* Firstly, you can't sign up to unlock the locked content (which was previously all unlocked anyway) as you need to agree to the Privacy Policy, but there is no box to tick to agree to it! This means there is a lot of locked content that can't be accessed. Photos don't correctly download, the wrong photo is saved. Worst of all, music no longer plays when the app is closed. This means major battery drain as you have to keep the app open and your screen on. I can't see me using this app anymore. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work... *2020-08-16, version 2.0.0* I wish this app actually worked. It sounds like it would be great. Every time I open it, it gives the message “downloading assets” and then just stalls out at around 23% of whatever it’s “downloading”. I’ve left it open for hours and no change. Sad... ### 1/5 — Dis.a.point.ed. *2017-10-02, version 1.5.0* Only things that seem to work are the verses and poetry I can’t join, can’t see video, can’t see images, hear no audio at all. Sitting here watching the screen spin for two hours is my meditation….?! 🤦🏻‍♂️ ### 2/5 — Really glitchy *2022-10-11, version 2.0.0* It doesn’t save anything I put in my files, and it now won’t let me log in. It just flashes when I press anything. It’s a shame because the content was fantastic and I loved the app, but now I can’t access it. ### 3/5 — Really great for time to think - glitches in app frustrating *2023-02-02, version 3.0.3* I have enjoyed using this app. I particularly like the poetry being read out with the music and visual. It would be great if you could mark the clips you had watched- now there is such a lot of choice I can’t remember which I’ve watched or not, and it’s frustrating watching the first 30 seconds and then realising I’ve already watched it and having to start again. Also when you load the chapter, you press play and the music plays but then if you play the video or the poetry the music is still playing over it. I repeatedly have to shut down and reload. It a great app to pop open any time to connect to God. On a walk, on your way to work, at home, breakfast time, lunchtime or in the evening. And it’s free!
