## What is Present?

Your phone is designed to pull you away. Present: Be Here is designed to pull you back.

Put your phone face down, choose who you're with, set a timer, and just be there — for your date, your family, your friends, or yourself. When the session ends, you'll see exactly how long you stayed present and how many times you picked your phone up.

IT'S SIMPLE BY DESIGN
There's no social feed, no streak pressure, no gamification. Just you, the people in front of you, and a timer running quietly in the background.

HOW IT WORKS
Start a session → choose who you're spending time with (date, dinner, family, friends, yourself) → pick a duration → put your phone down. That's it.

WHAT YOU GET
• A full-screen timer while your session runs
• Automatic distraction detection when you switch away from the app
• A session summary when you're done — total time, interruptions, time lost
• History of every session, grouped by day
• A streak counter to celebrate showing up consistently

OPTIONAL: APP BLOCKING
When Screen Time access is granted, Present can block distracting apps during your session so the temptation isn't there. You can decline this permission and still use everything else — the timer still runs and distractions are still tracked.

YOUR PRIVACY
All data stays on your device. No accounts. No analytics. No servers. Deleting the app deletes everything. That's the whole deal.
