### 3/5 — Needs concept of Minimum Time (green)

*2020-08-24, version 2.0.1*

I was hoping this would be useful for Toastmasters speeches. However it is not geared for that purpose in its present form. In timing Toastmaster speeches, there is the concept of minimum time (eg 1 minute, green), warning time (eg 1:30, yellow) and End Time (eg 2:00, blinking red) and End of grace period or disqualified time (eg 2:30 solid red).

### 2/5 — Miss the larger plus and minus

*2019-09-11*

The clock part is great. Easy to see. Wonderful. But the old version had nice big buttons for adding or subtracting time. Now you have to press a microscopic part of the screen to get the plus and minus to appear, and actually getting the app to register the touch to add or subtract time is a challenge every time. Terribly user unfriendly.

### 5/5 — Always use this app

*2019-03-06*

As an academic physician I have to give presentations at conferences all over the world. I always use this app to keep my timing on track. I have lost count of the number of times that fellow presenters have said 'I must download that app'.
I like the simplicity, easy customisation and very clear visuals.
Thank you for designing this app for me.

### 5/5 — Timer

*2019-03-02, version 2.0.1*

Simple, effective, easy to use.

### 4/5 — Excellent timer

*2019-02-04, version 2.0.1*

This was exactly what I wanted, but I wish it were possible to turn sound off during thresholds (ie when timer changes colour). This is distracting for presenter. Otherwise, it’s one of the best out there.

### 4/5 — Really loved the app until...love it even more.

*2019-01-22*

This was my original post above. But now there is less chance of that because the touch area to start and stop has been reduced. Would be nice if that area were made clear or a stylized Button I still think press and hold to stop would rock. Don't understand what folks complaining about with the running on, as a presenter, you stop your timer when done. You forgot to stop it, that'd be on you. If I go over I need to see how much. This is still the best to me.

ALSO: Suggestion: Please make it where it will stay open as small video window so i can use my Good Reader and have my time rocking at the same time. That would just rock!

### 5/5 — Does what it says

*2018-11-23*

Very easy to use with good simple graphics. I find it very useful for presentations.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2018-11-12*

When I looked for a timer app, I wanted something that was really easy to see and easy to program. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. This app ROCKS! It has saved jobs/events and made me look like an AV god on several occasions. Kudos to the developers.

### 5/5 — Masters One Task

*2018-10-17*

This app does precisely one thing well, but that’s cool because that’s as many things as it’s trying to do. Simple interface, no needless bells/whistles (including actual bells/whistles). If you want an app that does this, then this is the app that does it perfectly.

### 5/5 — Finally! Just what I was looking for!

*2018-10-05*

I am a professional trainer. I even train other to give presentations. This is a great countdown timer to keep us all on track. It has large fonts on black background when you turn your phone sideways. It counts down so you always no how much time you have! You can set the start time (green) and first warning (yellow) and next warning (red) as it counts down by minutes and seconds (even hours). When the presenter goes over time, the background changes to red, the font to black, and the timer starts counting up! It is perfect for times when we need to watch our time. I suggested my whole team download this to our phones. Cost is negligible.

### 5/5 — Muy útil

*2018-09-25, version 2.0.1*

Me ha funcionado muy bien, creo que es muy útil y buena.

### 4/5 — Love this app!

*2018-03-25, version 2.0.1*

I love this app! It does exactly what it claims to do. I would like it if you guys could add Apple Watch support to this app that would seriously take it to the next level!

### 5/5 — Still the Best In Class!

*2018-03-21, version 2.0.1*

Does exactly what you need for managing presentation times. A perfect tool, with now useless addons

### 5/5 — Best time keeper app period

*2018-03-20*

I’ve been using this app on my iPad to time speakers for years now, and not only do the speakers love to know when to wind down their speech but the audience appreciates it as they can see it also.

### 5/5 — BEST timer app of all time!!!

*2018-01-15, version 2.0.1*

It’s back! Thank you, Shawn! This by far the best timer app I’ve ever used. Simple to set up and easy to teach others how to operate. I am one grateful AV geek 🤓

### 3/5 — Essential app has a few small flaws

*2018-01-12*

I've loved this app for years! The big numbers are visible across the room, so it works well for sharing time information with a group (or with a speaker who is presenting), the color changes (especially the inversion at zero) and optional alerts help mark the passage of important time points, and it's always been pretty easy to add new custom timers (or to adjust the time on the fly).

It would get five stars — my "I can imagine no improvement" rating — except there's three little things that have bugged me in it. The tap targets have recently shrinked, making it harder to pause, reset, close, or add/subtract time. The color scheme is fixed (and hard for me as a person with color vision differences to distinguish between the green and yellow text colors). And when editing my list of timers recently, the items in the list kept jumping around (I'd delete one, and another one would jump to the bottom of the list — or a new one would appear).

I finally resolved the timer-list jumping problem by deleting all my timers and recreating them. But this still leaves me with color blindness and hard to tap targets. I hope the developer can add some shine to this otherwise highly functional and in any case essential app, by expanding the tap targets, differentiating the luminance of the different colors, and — well okay, I don't know what to suggest doing about the weirdness of the list jumping around; it might just be a one time result of my having had the app across so many devices and iOS versions.

### 5/5 — frequently used app

*2017-11-25*

Simple and easy to use. I use it frequently due to public speaking. After the last Apple update, I couldn’t use it. I’m haply that I can now. It’s the best app of its class.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Review

*2025-03-21, version 2.0.1*

Not user friendly not able to use at all

### 1/5 — It doesn’t work

*2024-04-13, version 2.0.1*

When I try to use the app, it shuts down. Unusable.

### 1/5 — Crashing

*2023-11-24, version 2.0.1*

Crashing

### 1/5 — Highly unusable. Stay away

*2016-12-13, version 2.0.1*

Couldn't figure out how to use it. Didn't react to any tapping our pinching. Assuming it's an app that sobering made in their spare time to learn how to code. Not worth your money but mostly your time.

### 1/5 — Changed for the worse

*2016-10-15*

I've used this weekly for years as a pastor, but now looking for a new app. The recent changes have made this unusable. For instance, used to be able to tap anywhere on screen to pause or stop the timer, now you have to tap in a very small area that you have to look away from your audience or notes to locate. No way to change this setting. Not nearly as useful now for speakers.

### 1/5 — Snached defeat from the jaws of victory

*2016-09-29, version 2.0.1*

This app was great now it STINKS. The type is so small and light you can't read it. Where you used to be able to tap anywhere to start now its a tiny space that is awkward to get to. HATE IT have to find a new app.

### 1/5 — Really?!?

*2016-09-28, version 2.0.1*

The update is terrible! Please go back to the previous design!!! The new look is chintzy. The timer continues and uses up battery unless you hit reset. I will not be recommending this app again unless it goes back to what it was!

### 1/5 — The upgrade is awful

*2016-09-22, version 2.0.1*

Why on earth did they take away the feature that let me change the time by clicking + or -? The worst thing about this app has always been what a pain it is to set -- would you want to use a timer whose time you could only set by going into edit mode? -- so crippling the quick adjust function makes absolute anti-sense.

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2016-06-28*

Doesn't work. Just a blank grey screen

### 1/5 — Hasn't worked for over a year now

*2016-05-22*

This app used to work great, but hasn't kept up with iOS updates, apparently. When in presentation mode, or even in timer mode when not connected to anything, the numbers don't show up. Just a blank screen that says "tap to pause".

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great simplistic timer

*2025-08-19*

I have been using this for over 10 years and it always works perfectly. I can easily read the numbers, either landscape or portrait. I love that it changes color when I hit a preset. I hope that it never gets an update because it is awesome as it is. I’m a preacher and have various uses for it in different settings with different time allotments. I recommend it to all my preacher friends.

### 5/5 — Easy and simple to use

*2025-05-17, version 2.0.1*

Love this app it does what I need it to do, simple to set up and helps me to stay on time.

### 5/5 — Best timer I found

*2023-04-07*

I looked for a while to find a simple timer. I use it all the time in meetings and events. If it’s a simple purpose built timer that you need this one is great.

### 5/5 — Very good app

*2021-12-09, version 2.0.1*

I like that you can make infinite timers

### 5/5 — Extremely useful app!

*2021-05-25*

Whenever I use this at a conference, people ask me “Where did you get that?!” Of course, I got it on the App Store for next to nothing. Highly recommended for iPad as a conference timer, or for iPhone as a personal speaking timer,

### 5/5 — Presentation clock

*2020-09-29*

Big, bright colors, clear, makes this so useful

### 5/5 — using for public speaking.

*2020-08-23, version 2.0.1*

i use this app to keep timer for church sermons. it’s great!

### 5/5 — Does its one thing very well

*2019-06-15*

During timing, this app devotes the entire screen to the clock readout and makes good use of color to signal time's about to run out, or is past the set limit.

The interface for controlling the timer is not perfectly discoverable, and there is the occasional glitch… such as an item in the timer list being connected to the wrong timer. So to use this app well, take care to set it up in advance of live use: Fix glitches (by testing and redefining your set of timers as needed), and practice picking, starting, pausing, resetting, and restarting timers until you're fluent at operating the app.

I am not deducting stars for these problems/challenges because, dude, it's a 99 cent app. It does its one thing beautifully and that's enough.

### 5/5 — Great app - does exactly what is described

*2019-06-07*

I love using this and have done so for 4years - I love the simple glance that is required to see the time and colour changes is easy to pick up in the corner of the visual field when giving presentations

I was really motivated to write this review as the only other review doesn’t really focus on the actual practical utility of this app

### 5/5 — Power in simplicity

*2019-05-09*

Does one thing and does it well. If you wondered, it also keeps the screen unlocked for the duration of your timer (unlike Apple’s default countdown timer).
