## What is Preshift?

Preshift teaches the English you will actually say on your next shift — not travel phrases.

Three minutes a day, five lines. Listen, say it back, get scored, then get on with your shift.

• BUILT FOR RESTAURANT WORK
Taking phone orders, addresses and postcodes, allergens, the prep station, the pass, handovers, deliveries. Back-of-house English is included, not an afterthought — and it barely overlaps with the front.

• EXPLAINED IN CHINESE
Which two words run together, which sound has no Chinese equivalent, what the line actually means. Explained in the language you think in.

• SCORED ON YOUR PHONE
Speech recognition runs on-device. Your voice never leaves the phone, and it keeps working in a basement with no signal.

• THE LINES YOU MISS COME BACK FIRST
Spaced repetition, word by word. The ones you have nailed come back weeks later; the ones you keep dropping come back tomorrow.

• ALLERGENS FOR YOUR COUNTRY
UK rules and US rules are not the same, and the wrong ones are worse than none. You only see the set for the country you work in.

• A CARD WORTH SENDING HOME
Your streak, the lines you can say now, as one image.
