The interface is very cluttered and not customizabke at all ### 4/5 — Just updated to IOS 10 and 11. Works only if mixer controller is updated, too!!! *2018-01-01, version 1.6.5* Just learned that mixer controlling software MUST BE UPDATED, TOO, for this to work. Little or no notice sent out by Presonus AND registration of mixer could be needed for mixer software update!!! Now works (again). Thanks! Previous old review: Have been using for 6 months under IOS 6.1.2 with little issues except occasional "stalling". Now stuck in portrait mode and can NOT access all iPAD functions on 16.4.2 mixer. Agree with other reviews that update is needed as soon as possible. ### 4/5 — All of the one star reviews below are spoiled crybabies *2017-10-18, version 1.6.5* Well I too had to go through the update process setting up an older board in a restaurant and went through some of the quirks of the set up but it's just like anything thats software based over the past 15 years, you have to make sure that drivers, updates, or anything else is up to date.... not a big deal! I would say this is five stars except they have not updated the graphics as well as the TouchMix latest update which is awesome! Right now it's a one star because they failed to mention in the description that you also need to update Universal Control. As it is, I'm sitting at church without remote control over my StudioLive and no time to update before service. Did I mention that none of my worship team can control their in-ears either? Yeah..... But since then, it takes forever to recognize that an SL board is there, and when it does it's temperamental on whether it wants to connect. And when it does connect it almost immediately crashes. Every time. Even others on the worship team I am part of have the same problem. Please PreSonus! Update this app! There are no instructions in the app on how to set it up. That would sure be helpful guys! So now I have to stop everything I'm doing and go find it on YouTube I guess? Thanks for being ahead of the curve. ### 2/5 — Works okay, but needs updated more often *2016-01-04, version 1.5.5503* I enjoy being able to run sound from my iPad, but it takes months for the app to be updated after new iOS updates. After the iOS 9 update, the app force closes every 5-10 minutes. When the iOS 7 or 8 update was given, it took months to correct the orientation issue. Pity Presonus doesn’t seem to care about this well known problem. Please fix this issue ASAP! ### 1/5 — Broken *2017-08-07, version 1.6.5* The recent update has completely broken this app. My band found this out the hard way at our last performance. We all use in-ear monitors and rely upon this app for our monitor mixes. As the keyboardist and saxophonist, I especially depend upon this app. Fortunately, one of the band members had an older iPhone that hadn't yet been updated, so I was able to use that for my mix. None of the others worked, however, and we had no workaround aside from having the engineer set the mixes during soundcheck. We had to start the show fifteen minutes late due to this failure. I'm happy that they've updated the app, but this rollout was a failure, to say the least. I used this for a large a'cappella group with 14 singers plus vocal percussion. I was able to easily control every channel and add EQ and compression on app. I was even able to add a limiter to a mic with unexpected problems in the middle of a performance. This being said, use this app BEFORE PERFORMANCE. Make sure your wifi works, and make sure your computer works as well. I believe the negative reviews for this app where from people how didn't get past technical proble,a related to this app. ### 5/5 — SL Remote Review *2013-10-24, version 1.5.5503* I handle monitors and FOH for medium sized events. I recently did a show with 11 floor wedges divided into six monitor mixes, FOH had balcony delay zone, front fill zone, aux fed subs and left and right line arrays. With this app, I was able to dart from position to position on the stage and in the house while sound checking under an extremely tight timeframe. Yes I bring a router extender and antenna booster to my shows to make sure I have strong wifi. It can operate almost every feature of the StudioLive mixer and helps make tuning a venue fast. One thing I would really like is the ability to access the master volume more easily. Having to tap the small button for the master and aux sliders is too difficult in a pressured situation. Quick feedback through it needs to be updated for iOS 7 pleaaaaase! ### 5/5 — Superb for "In-House" Mixing *2012-09-09* Very, very useful application, especially for venues that have their consoles far away from the action near the speakers. Also especially good when working with In Ear Monitors. You can literally be talking face to face with the artist while setting their levels. Some improvements that would be very useful would be allowing to switch between input/output level monitoring instead of only being able to view which ever one board is on. Also access to phantom power switch would be nice, as well as access to "talkback" source selection. One more thing, if you could bring back the ability to name channels I would be very pleased.
