I am using my IPhone XR along with other devices that says the same thing. I can make anything sound great. Now, it’s all about the software and how easy it is to use. I work with a few local bands that don’t/can’t have a regular sound guy, so ease of use for them is more important than me. I can’t even begin to recommend anything from Presonus as I can’t access the mixer on my phone, and as others have said the iPad mini doesn’t work either. I can understand the phone not being compatible, it should be though, but an iPad mini? I installed it looking forward to using some limited functionality as soon as I connect it says that my device is not supported. If you’re not gonna support iPhone, don’t say you support iPhone. The previous versions did not say they supported iPhone and you had to have an iPad in order to use them. Tech support answer is don’t use an iPhone. that is the most ridiculous answer that they could give. Lazy. Unhelpful. Incompetent. This app is so needed to be working for my church sound as our board sliders are not working. What did y’all do to the app, used to work perfectly. I believe iPads don’t always float in our pockets. It’s ideal to use an iPad but come on. And there is a separate monitor iOS app but that’s not enough. ### 1/5 — Not supported at this screen size *2025-10-01, version 4.7* I've always used my iPad mini 6th to control the rack. I don't know what they did, but now when I try to access it, it gives me a black screen saying "Remote control not compatible with this screen size." ### 1/5 — iPad mini 6 screen size not supported *2025-09-21, version 4.7* As of the latest update, no water supports the screen size of the iPad mini six. It was working just fine before. The knowledge article linked talks about android devices and developer mode. This isn’t an android device and I shouldn’t need to activate developer settings in order to make your app work. It asks to violate your privacy by sniffing your network then won’t connect to the interface, even if directly connected. TrAsH ### 1/5 — Pick Any Brand but Presonus! Does Not Work on iPad Mini 6 anymore or iPhone 15 Pro Max. *2025-07-11* Used to work with my iPad mini 6th gen, but now I’m getting an error saying the screen is not large enough. I’m no lawyer but this new “restriction” is probably in violation of the App Store ToS or something since it used to work with previous versions of the app and it says compatible with iPads running 15.4 or later. Now I can’t use my Presonus RM32AI. Save yourself the trouble go with Behringer or any other company than Presonus. Stay away from Presonus!!! I’ve never had any complaints with Behringers or Yamahas in the past. Why was I even allowed to download the or update app the app when I can’t properly use it on the device? I guess I’m hoping for Mixing Station to support the RM32AI since Presonus is being anti-consumer… ### 1/5 — Broken Feb 25 2025 *2025-06-28, version 4.6.1* Fix your broken app! I bought 4 studiolive 16R’s because of the app support. It worked great until PreSonus broke the app! It works on the iPad but they still haven’t fixed the iPhone/android version. Stay away from these mixers and this company until they fix what they broke. I would rate them a 0/5 stars if I could! When the app was working I would give it a 5/5. This app has been a complete pleasure over the last 4 years. You allowed me to instantly switch to any settings I want for any scenario at the press of a button. You best believe I will keep my FireWire rig going. And there are many just like me that invested thousands into Presonus that are doing the same. Keeping their FireWire alive no matter what it takes. Do us OG’s a solid and keep the updates flowin! All features work perfectly and almost always have for a few years now. We don’t ever have anyone sit in front of the mixer board ever.
