## What is Press?

Press is a coffee table for reading.

It started with a small feeling: too many good things end up scattered. A PDF in Files. A book in one app. An article in a tab. A line you copied and then lost.

Press gives all of them one calm place to land.

Books, PDFs, articles, quotes, and notes gather into a tactile stack. Books open on hinges. PDFs move like pages. Quotes arrive as letters. When something has done its job, you can shred it away.

It is built for readers who want less management and more reading:
- EPUB and PDF reading in one stack
- Import from Files and the share sheet
- Save quotes with author, book, or website
- Keep progress and stack order in sync with iCloud when available
- Adjust typography with gestures
- Private by design: no feed, no third-party tracking, no remote AI

Press is not another inbox. It is a quieter table for the few things still worth your attention.
