The previous app was great. This app won’t even work. Can’t find out what songs I have. You can’t even press Play ### 1/5 — Uploading Music *2025-02-15, version 2024.354* I took out a subscription and have been able to use this version as the developer has not been able to confirm music uploads. Considering I used the previous version which has all my music uploads to BP129 this situation is OUTRAGEOUS. It is complicated to use as it is and would not recommend the app. ### 1/5 — Don’t fix it if it’s not broken *2024-10-31* Wow. I understand a learning curve and new developments, iterations and new versions to improve but this app was over-engineered to the point where nothing makes sense. The reason I loved PPG was due to its simplicity and the fact that it just pulled from the data stored on my phone. I mainly practice when I am in my car so switching, toggling, tapping 3 times and going down a rabbit hole to change one setting isn’t worth my time. I would pay triple to just go back to the OG version. I really do appreciate the dev’s time and effort but I wish there would have been customer/instructor feedback before launching a new program. The more I play/use it, the more counterintuitive this app has clearly become. Also, is there not a sliding feature to quickly get to a certain part of the song? That’s 99 percent of my usage right there 😩 #proversion1 ### 1/5 — Worst and most complicated app ever *2024-01-11, version 2023.02* There is no need for this complicated app. Unable to manage the media once uploaded. I’ve still not been able to play a release after 20mins of trying. Unorganised in the my media section. The original app was perfect and this one I will not be using. If the original is end of life to make money then the dev will be disappointed ### 1/5 — So complicated from ipad *2023-10-16* The user experience is much more difficult than it used to be. Very disappointed that they changed it. ### 2/5 — I was a fan and was hoping it would work. *2024-11-01* The old one was great and took some work to get the entire bodypump cannon in there, but was worth it. After uploading to the new one music you apparently need to give it a while ( days?)to show your music. Not practical, essentially unusable. Great UI though.! Pitty one can't actually use it. ### 2/5 — Simpler and stable is better *2024-09-23* For perspective, I have been using the original PP&G app for 11 years. I am not a fan of the new app, functionally and technically. First, now we need to download our music from the source site onto our PC, upload it to the cloud service for this app, then download it onto your device … once it’s approved (see below). In my opinion, it’s extra overhead and extra fees that are unnecessary if we can store the music on our local device like the original app. With that being said, I have uploaded music weeks ago (edit - it is now months ago) and I still don’t have it available. All music has to be manually reviewed by a human at their cadence, which is slow, and sometimes you just don’t get to download it and there’s nothing you can do. So I still have to use the old app, because it does not have these problems. The old app had more universal settings that made things simpler. This has too many nested menus, and too many nested options that don’t translate beyond one playlist. It’s unnecessarily complicated and the triple clicks within the app are clunky and unintuitive. The developer response is worse than it was with the original app. He was always very helpful before but I find myself asking things repeatedly. It was good at first, but I’ve noticed he responds less and less to people. He would have made a much better product, with the same reputation as the original PP&G, if he would have asked instructors for feedback before building this app. Simpler is better. We just want to make a consistent playlist in 3 minutes, and have all of our releases available to us, in one app and not two (which is the problem I have now). It makes teaching, practicing and building playlists incredibly easy! I teach at 4 different clubs 5x every week; and this app tracks what I teach, where I teach, class sizes, etc. I’m also extremely happy with the incredibly responsive support. I haven’t needed it much, but when I hit an error, it was quickly resolved. And the error was on my end. Thank you for building this app! It has my full endorsement! ### 5/5 — Elevated App *2024-11-26* It took me a while to transition to his new format - I was holding on to the old version for dear life. But now I am learning how to use it - with the help of tutorials and the Slack channel - and I am really excited by all the features. ### 5/5 — Love it for teaching and tracking *2024-11-23* I’ve used PPAG2 for a year and love it for teaching, practicing, and tracking my classes and playlists. Like everything else in life, there was a learning curve, but the help button on each screen and the short videos on Facebook help. I love being able to search for a type of track and playing a snip to recognize it, or seeing when I last used a track in class. It takes time and effort to load your media, yes, but then you can switch devices without redoing that work. I was a fan of PPAG, but understand from the developer’s explanations why the new version was needed. Code has changed and keeping the old one going was a losing battle. Dev and users are responsive to questions in the slack support channel. I think the app is great and very cost effective for teaching, plus the reporting features. ### 5/5 — Absolute MUST HAVE for instructors *2024-08-08* This app has been a real blessing! I had the old version and bought the new version in February. Best investment, hands down - the app has not failed me to date, unlike other apps I’ve used. It has been far more reliable than any other teaching app I’ve used in the past. Music uploads are fast and simple. Modifying contents (blocks) and participation tracking are great additions to the new version! The developer is super responsive to any inquiry or issues, which is a huge bonus! An absolute “must have” for any instructor that wants a reliable teaching tool! ### 5/5 — Best Grouo Fit instructors tool on the market *2023-10-06* Have been using this app for Les Mills RPM and SPRINT classes. Love that the choreography is attached to each song (make sure to upload it), even if you do a mix, it will pull the relevant chorey for that song. Able to add class numbers to each class taught, invoice generated if needed. Practice mode, play music before and after class without having to add manually. So many features, huge thumbs up. I like the fine grain control of tracks and the availability of notes being associated with tracks. I think the user feedback count be improved, such as scrolling issues when selecting replacement tracks. Often the app is unusable until restarted a few times when the scrolling issue occurs. It’d also be nice if when the “download track” button is selected, there was some immediate feedback of whether or not the download began or not. Otherwise, I’m a fan, and hope to see the issues cleaned out over time ### 3/5 — Great but time consuming! *2025-03-10, version 2024.354* I loved the first PPG app! Easy and hassle free. Didn’t need any data and could swap out tracks last min. THIS ONE HAS SOME GREAT FEATURES BUT IT TAKES SO LONG TO ADD YOUR RELEASES I HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE OLD APP WHEN IM MIXING! …. I would get out my laptop once a quarter before to add new releases but now I’m having to try constantly to add a few at a time!
