### 5/5 — Excellent news aggregate

*2026-10-13*

I’ll be using this app to keep up on news stories going forward. I particularly enjoy the function to see news stories outside of the US that won’t get much if any coverage here.

### 5/5 — The Gold Standard for News

*2026-10-12*

PressAudit is exactly what the modern news landscape needs. The commitment to accuracy and staying as close to the truth and primary sources as possible is incredibly refreshing. The careful, calculated integration of AI to synthesize and verify facts— rather than just generate noise—is masterfully executed. The level of analysis provided is top-tier. I want to highly commend the developer for their brilliant approach and rigorous methodology. It is clear a tremendous amount of thought went into creating this. Amazing work!

### 5/5 — Crucial for Getting the Full Picture

*2026-10-12*

lLikw most people the news I get is pretty filtered, which means I have no idea what a lot of other people are seeing in their news sources. You could be talking to a relative or colleague about somethingI think everybody knows about it and it turns out that their preferred sources aren’t even cocering it. they might bring something up today and I’ll have no idea what they’re talking about. PressAudit lets me see coverage of all current events, whether they’re reaching me through my normal sources or not, and gives me an idea how the story is being presented to other people.

### 5/5 — Only game in time for live news analysis

*2026-10-12*

This is the only app that doesn’t fall for the trap of “Fox news is a right outlet therefore every story by Fox news is right,” it’s the only app that does analysis real-time

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.2 — 2026-10-25

A cleaner feed: each story card shows one picture or chart and fewer labels, and Home has fewer sections, with Blindspots and the rule open for comment higher up.

Story pages are simpler: Overview, Analysis, Articles and Viewpoints, with the Analysis numbers matching pressaudit.org.

Rule cards show the rule, its comment count and deadline, and the poll.

The feed tour no longer opens on its own.

Fixes for screens that could stop responding while scrolling Search results, Home, Top Stories and Viewpoints.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-10-23

Every story card label is now a link to its feed, and regulation cards name the agency and show how many days are left to comment.

New on the Midterms pages: sort House, Senate and Governor races by 7-day movement. The Home Midterms card rotates between the Senate and House forecasts and maps, and always links to the full forecast.

The coverage card shows Article lean and Outlet lean meters under the heatmap.

New: a short tour of the feed controls the first time you open a feed.

Maps open on the Composite rating. Focus from the Left and Focus from the Right now appear as finding labels on story cards.

Fixes for screens that could stop responding while scrolling Regulations Search, the Regulations hub and Top Stories.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-10-21

Home is now a single feed: the day's top stories with the Viewpoints of the day, the Heatmap of the Day, Media Patterns posts, rules open for public comment and the live Senate forecast in between.

New: the 2026 Midterms Tracker. Senate, House and Governor control forecasts, every race with its polls, prediction markets, debates and news, and a feed for each state.

New: Regulations Search. Search every federal rule, filter by department, issue, stage and finding, and sort by coverage.

Rules open for public comment now carry a poll: say where you stand before you build your comment.

Sign up for the PressAudit newsletter from the app, and read each edition in the Newsletters feed.

Sign in with an emailed link, no password needed.

The Heatmap has its own tab. Links to pressaudit.org stories, viewpoints and rules open in the app.

Many smaller changes so every page matches pressaudit.org: feed cards, story pages, the regulations hub, Trending, Outlets and Settings. Call It no longer fails to load when the deck takes a while to build.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-10-12

PressAudit is the new name for MediaGames. New: a Home-first layout, a Coverage analysis setting, compact headline lists, Faceoff charts, Alerts and optional push notifications, a guided public comment for federal rules, community posts, and the PressAudit News Coverage Safari extension.

### 1.0 — 2026-07-02
