## What is Pretake?

Have the hard conversation before you have it.

Some conversations you rehearse in the shower for a week and still get wrong.

Pretake builds a simulation from a conversation you already had — a chat export from your own phone — so you can practise the difficult version first. Say it badly. Rewind. Say it again.

HOW IT WORKS

Export a chat from WhatsApp, Telegram or Instagram, or hand Pretake a few screenshots. Pretake reads it on your phone and picks up how that person writes: how long their messages are, how they punctuate, the words they reach for.

Then start the conversation you have been putting off, and see how it goes.

REWIND ANYTHING

Press and hold any message to go back and try it another way. Nothing is lost. Every version stays, so you can put two openings side by side and see which one you actually want to use.

WHAT THIS IS NOT

Everyone in Pretake is an AI simulation. Nobody here is real, nobody here knows they are being simulated, and nobody here will ever message you first. There are no notifications. Close the app and it stops.

Pretake will not help you find an angle on someone. It is for practising the true thing and hearing how it might land, not for working out what to say to get a result. If a conversation turns towards self-harm, the simulation stops and Pretake offers helplines for your region instead.

YOUR CONVERSATIONS

The chat you import is read on your phone and stays there. The file you shared is deleted. To write a reply the conversation is sent to Pretake and on to the AI model that writes it; it is never stored, and it is never used to train any model. Deleting a person deletes their conversation.

PRETAKE UNLIMITED

One person and 40 messages are free. Pretake Unlimited adds as many people as you need, and as long as you need with each of them.

Monthly and yearly subscriptions are available. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of that period. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions in your Apple Account settings.
