### 1/5 — I’d rather lug the book around

*2019-08-20, version 1.4*

This app is utter garbage. Menu is not helpful at all, don’t even bother trying to redeem a digital code on it. When you do finally manage to download the magazine it won’t even link to the app itself. I just end up reading the book on a web browser. Instantly uninstalled this waste of time. I wanted to work on my orders on the go, this app is not the way to do it. Might as well pack that massive book and lug that around.

### 1/5 — AVOID THE APP

*2019-06-25, version 1.4*

After several attempts to log in using my email I foolishly decided to continue as a guest. The app prompted me that all purchases would be linked to my one device, and I thought that was fine. However, after purchasing a multi month subscription to the magazine I only received one issue and can’t read the latest one. What a waste of money.

### 1/5 — Worst Nightmare

*2018-10-25*

Having the massive monthly Previews catalogue available in a digital format is a dream come true. Unfortunately, this app is my worst nightmare.

A number of the other reviews do a great job in listing all that is missing from this app, by my main caveats are: 1. The catalogue takes forever to download, literally like hours, and it is not due to a slow internet connection on the user end, 2. You can only view the catalogue in landscape view on an iPad, which is rather ridiculous, 3. The app continuously asks you to update to the latest version after you have already updated, and 4. The downloaded catalogue often vanishes, forcing you to download it again (more hours wasted).

It’s a shame that Diamond has contracted with this company to host this product, as obviously the company has no interest in improving their product. In fact, this app is so horrible that it should have never even have made it to the App Store.

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2018-10-24*

The app is very, very disappointing and I’ve been a customer/fan for over 18+ years. Wish I could give this app a Half star.

### 1/5 — Pile of Trash

*2018-10-22*

What a pile of trash this app is:

Enter password every time upon startup
App needs manually updated every time upon startup
App doesn’t remember what page you were on if you leave book or app
Upon each new page, a weird, yellow animation happens to indicate a hyperlink, it happens EVERY PAGE
CONSTANT CRASHES

### 1/5 — Ditto to “Needs serious work....”

*2018-10-12*

I’m having identical problems. Prompts to update, pop-ups to do so that lead nowhere, and blank pages. I don’t appreciate spending money for this experience. Fix it.

### 1/5 — The app is broken

*2018-10-08, version 1.1*

I have purchased several issues through the app and used the digital download code from a store bought digital code. The issues are available for download but will NOT download even after waiting 6-8 hours! The digital code will download the PDF available via a web link online in minutes. The same thing happens for all of the free issues from Marvel, DC and Image.

The app says an update is available but refers me back to the same app on the iTunes Store Nd no available update. The same thing happens with the Joomag app.

I have contacted customer support in August and they have Sid they will get back to me but that was 5-6 weeks go now.

Guess there re no alternative but a refund.

### 1/5 — Worked up until the 12.0 update!

*2018-09-29, version 1.1*

Was working fine until that update, it not keeps saying I need to update the app to get be able to read the publications yet there is no update on the App Store!

### 1/5 — Needs serious work

*2018-09-26*

Prompts to update product, click on that. Sends you to to the App Store to open the current version you already have.

Load the mag most the pages are blank and never load.

Guys your a publisher fix this app, bad for your image to have a half baked app that barely functions.

### 1/5 — This is What a Monopoly Begets

*2018-09-25*

This would bean awesome app if it worked right. In this case, right would include navigation that made sense, and not waiting 5-10 seconds (yes, I timed it) to turn a page. One would think that receiving no 4 or 5 star ratings would be incentive to improve. But when you’re the only game in town, why bother?

### 2/5 — Stick with the print version

*2018-06-07*

I love browsing through the Previews catalog every month, but this version doesn’t allow you to download for offline reading and doesn’t remember where you left off. If they add these features I’ll subscribe, until then: pass.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App no longer has a purpose

*2024-03-16*

This app was created to provide access to a digital copy of Previews. I'm trying to buy the latest issue and the app doesn't even acknowledge I'm attempting a transaction.

### 1/5 — Failure on download

*2023-02-12*

Wow! Couldn’t even log into the app after registering on the website. Nothing else can be said if the login is broken.

### 1/5 — Bought a single issue, it was two years old

*2022-04-21*

I needed a previews guide in a quick bind, saw this app and sighed with relief. I didn’t want to subscribe for a year, as I prefer to get the paper copies. Opted to buy a single issue, which on the app stated Previews April 2022, but after sending the purchase through, I found April 2020 in my library. Makes sense

### 1/5 — Might be interesting but I can’t login

*2022-03-18*

I can login fine on the mobile site through safari, however I’m told invalid password or email for the app. 🤦🏻‍♂️

### 1/5 — Unfit For Purpose

*2021-11-22, version 2.2*

The app has always been clunky as hell, but is currently pretty much unusable. The Catalogs in My Library, which before would take an eternity to download, now won’t download to my device at all. The website is far easier to use.
Even without the bugs, the UI was due an update years ago.

### 1/5 — It doesn’t work

*2021-05-31, version 2.2*

I bought the May 2021 issue and it downloaded April 2020. None of the login options work and it thinks something is wrong with the syntax of “@gmail.com”. Possibly the worst app I’ve ever used.

### 1/5 — Pay for solicitations?

*2021-05-27*

We have to pay for them to show us what we can buy? I’m good. DC solicitations are free...

### 1/5 — Flashing image trigger alert needed

*2021-04-30, version 2.2*

Why does the app flash every web linked image with a green pulse every page flip? Beyond distracting, near torture. Skip this app until Diamond fixes it or closes down as the publishers move away.

### 1/5 — Instant Headache

*2020-11-27, version 2.1*

I had hoped this app would substitute the physical copies of previews I purchased pre-pandemic but, the flashing of each image, on every single page, makes the digital version of Previews almost unreadable.

### 1/5 — No support

*2020-07-08*

Can’t login without activation link which I never got and can’t get. Error message says to contact support but no link anywhere for that. They had no problem accepting payment from my Apple account though...
Bought one issue I guess that is $3.99 I’ll never see. Thank goodness I didn’t buy a whole year...

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great for FOC

*2022-02-01*

This app is free with an invitation from your local LCS. As long as the owner of that LCS is completely a modern store with all the online bells and whistles.

### 5/5 — Great

*2020-02-09, version 1.4*

Works on iOS 13 both iPad and iPhone.

### 4/5 — Good App

*2021-01-04*

Good App but the current month of Jan 2021 isn’t loaded correctly and is showing December’s instead.

### 3/5 — Strange Account Requirements

*2023-11-12*

Prevented me from registering with my gmail account. Also, has very strict password requirements, and didn’t work with the iOS password manager.

### 3/5 — App is fine, logging in every time is annoying

*2018-09-11, version 1.1*

While I have no problems with the app, every time you leave the app to do something else, it prompts you to log in again.

### 3/5 — Needs fixing

*2018-06-08*

As has been said above, for some reason when I swipe to the next page it flashes yellow and it is extremely annoying.

### 3/5 — Stuck on subscribing

*2018-04-28, version 1.0*

App sits on processing purchase window

### 2/5 — Hey!

*2021-09-23, version 2.2*

You’re apps not working.

### 2/5 — APP Needs Major Improvement; So many Glitches and Hasn’t Been Updated in a Year

*2020-06-02*

It’s so sad because the developer doesn’t seem to care about its customers at all. There are so many bad reviews, but no response from the developers or updates to even try to improve anything. Talk about having a big ego. It’s a shame! It’s no wonder that the comic industry suffers these days.

### 2/5 — Missing very basic features

*2018-08-05*

My favorite time of month is when the previews catalogs come out, so I was really hoping this app would be a much needed upgrade to the old 2inch thick print catalog. But alas, it is missing some very basic features that I am very surprised aren’t present. The biggest is it doesn’t seem to ever download on my iPad. There’s a little download button, you press it, it goes away. But then the catalog never downloads, never appears in your library, gives no indication that it is processing, nothing. On the iPhone it seems to download, but if you set your phone down to let it, it will turn off and stop downloading. Plus I don’t want to look at it on my tiny iPhone.

The second biggest feature to be missing is that it does not remember your place. The catalog is very large, never have I gone through it in one sitting. So unless you keep the app open and active every time you open you have to go back to the beginning of the catalog.

Bookmarks. Often when I look at the print version I have some sticky notes with me to mark the things I’m interested in and want to go back and check. Nothing like that here.

Lastly, this isn’t a missing feature, but why the heck does it ask me for my Apple ID every time I open the app. That is really annoying. You should only ask for that if I buy something.
