## What is PRIEM?

PRIEM is a private calling and messaging app for closed circles — your family, your team, the people you actually want to talk to.

Calls are 1:1 and end-to-end encrypted over WebRTC, so the conversation stays between you and the person on the other end. Messages are encrypted the same way: the server holds ciphertext it cannot read. There is no public directory — you only connect with people you invite, or who invite you.

FOR YOUR FAMILY
Some people struggle with new apps — so in PRIEM you can create the account for them. Set it up for your mom, dad or grandma, send them a link, and one tap later they're in: no password, no email, no sign-up on their side. You manage the circle; they just call.

WHY PRIEM
• End-to-end encrypted audio and video calls
• Text, voice messages, video circles, photos and video — encrypted the same way
• Invite-only — no strangers, no public profiles to find you
• No ads and no tracking
• Incoming calls ring like a normal phone call, and PRIEM calls appear in your phone's recents

MESSAGES
• Text messages with drafts, copying and read receipts
• Voice messages — hold to record, slide up for hands-free, play at 1x/1.5x/2x
• Video circles, photos and videos, up to 10 minutes
• Every message is end-to-end encrypted — we cannot read or hear it
• Delete a message and it disappears for both sides

ASSISTANT
• A built-in AI assistant in its own chat
• Answers questions, draws pictures from a description, understands photos you send
• AI-generated images are always labelled

HOW IT WORKS
1. Create an account with your email.
2. Invite the people you want to call — or create accounts for them and share a link.
3. Tap a contact to call, or write to them — everything is encrypted end to end.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.0 — 2026-08-15

You can now type in PRIEM. Text messages are protected by the same end-to-end encryption as calls: the server stores only ciphertext it cannot read.

The input field understands what you want: leave it empty and hold to record a voice message, or type and send. Unfinished text is kept as a draft per chat, long-press copies a message, and the sender sees when the conversation has been read.

The app now opens with a short "going on air" launch animation.

Fixed rare unexpected logouts, and the speaker in video calls: loudspeaker now actually turns on.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-08-03

The main screen is simpler. Conversations, calls and contacts now live on their own tabs, circles became filters above the list, and managed accounts moved into Settings. On first launch the app briefly shows you where everything went.

The assistant got noticeably more useful. Replies arrive properly formatted — lists, emphasis and code — and type out smoothly instead of in lurches. Ask it for a diagram or an illustration and it draws one right in the chat. Send it a photo and it will understand and describe it.

In chats, photos send instantly with a progress indicator, you can pick up to 10 at once, and photos and videos from a conversation save to your gallery. The viewer closes with a swipe down.

The unread badge now clears when you open a chat, instead of only after you have played every message. Voice notes still stay marked unplayed until you actually listen to them.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-07-29

PRIEM now has messages — encrypted end to end, just like the calls.

Voice messages: hold to record, or slide up to record hands-free. Playback at 1x, 1.5x or 2x.
Video circles, photos and videos — up to 10 minutes, all end-to-end encrypted.
A chat screen with selectable backgrounds, and message deletion that removes the message for both sides.
Calls are louder and steadier: the ringtone now cuts through music and video, vibration works in silent mode, and the outgoing ringback is audible again.
If the other phone doesn't pick up the call, you're told — instead of listening to ringback into the void.
Recents now shows an unread counter and clearer timestamps.

### 1.0.7 — 2026-07-24

- Contact card: one tap opens calling, video calling, and contact settings.
- After sign-up, quick tips help you invite your family and make your first call.
- More reliable incoming calls: improved delivery of call notifications.
- Accounts created by a plan owner now correctly show as covered by the plan.
- Bug fixes and stability improvements.

### 1.0.5 — 2026-07-20

- Circles: organize your contacts into colored circles for quick access.
- Call back from Recents: tap a PRIEM entry in your phone's call history to redial.
- Call tones: audible cues when a call connects, reconnects, or ends.
- More reliable calls: improved automatic reconnection on unstable networks.
- Bug fixes and stability improvements.
