Primal is a social app that sits on Nostr protocol layer which makes your content movable to other social apps also on Nostr; that means if you want to try other social apps that aren't run by a corporation that are also built on Nostr you can move your content and followers with just a copy paste of your social ID, not a login and content for each different social account. This is incredible to be a part of. Thank you to all the builders. Amazing for anyone sick of content moderation and wanting REAL content about the world. Still early days but very much feels like the future. ### 5/5 — Refreshing *2026-02-14* I discovered this app and protocol through bitcoin and in the beginning it was clearly a bitcoin heavy space. A beautiful, happy, and inviting space where I felt free to say what I want and the things others were saying were enlightening and sometimes making me laugh. I’m currently still on the old school social medias to keep in touch with friends and family and have not been able to recruit any one to Primal yet but I’m still trying… Staying humble, stacking sats, and thanking those who worked so hard on Nostr, freedom tech, and self-sovereignty in general. 🙏🙏🙏 #thanksyall Also I have discovered fountain and I’m really loving that as well. It’s helped me understand Nostr from a high up perspective, then I was able to play around with the less user friendly clients (apps) to understand which ones I prefer. For me Primal is the go to client for anyone wanting to transition from Facebook or X to own their data. Instead of divulging in corporate interests, use Primal. You choose what you see, no advertisements. The subscription is worth it to support the devs and keep the project alive. Learning about nostr you are taught that your nsec is to be coveted and protected at all costs. It is your literal digital self. And you NEVER paste it into a client. And the same people that teach that then produce apps that require raw nsec pasting. This client like many others will NOT accept a signer or even a bunker for log in.
